Deep Sea Creations began in 2003 as a service maintenance business for aquatic tanks and now proudly carries a wide range of aquatic products and tropical fish, while continuing to provide aquarium maintenance, custom tank installation, and other aquarium services. We specialize in exotic fresh and saltwater fish, as well as live coral. Additionally, we provide new tank set-up, efficient filtratio

n ideas, tank leasing and tank maintenance. At Deep Sea Creations, we strongly believe in a natural approach to aquatic life. We begin with building a natural, healthy ecosystem for your tank. Next, we make it our business to train and educate every customer on proper fish and animal care. From tank set-up and maintenance, to reliable advice, we pride ourselves on taking care of our customers and the life of our fish and products from the beginning. Our mission is to provide the highest level of service while teaching and training our customers how to be successful aquatic marine life owners. Eddie is full of passion for saltwater aquariums. His love for this hobby started at a young age and in the past 5 plus years Eddie has continually taken his aquatic knowledge to the next level. In fact, thanks to his hardwork in the field and his dedication to always learn and grow, Eddie has become an aquatic specialist and maintenance technician as well. Eddie enjoys sharing his knowledge with others and educating them on the various species and habitats he's learned about over his career and is always researching and exploring new ways of creating and watching a thriving ecosystem take place.

Tony works as both a Maintenance Technician and in our retail shop. He is currently studying at California State University San Marcos and is working to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Biology. Tony has been an avid enthusiast of the aquatic hobby for several years, with a special interest in Corals. His expertise also extends to salt and freshwater fish, including fish compatibility and coral identification to disease diagnosis and plumbing.

Our clients’ reef tanks just got a new member—the lovely Box Fish! This tiny wonder will turn heads with its bright colors and distinctive cube shape. But there’s more to this fish than meets the eye!
The boxfish has a very effective defense mechanism, which you might not be aware of.This clever creature hides a poison under its skin to ward off predators, despite its innocent appearance. That’s right! It’s nature’s way of saying, “Handle with care!”
However, fellow aquarists, have no fear! The key to creating a peaceful environment for our Boxfish companion is providing them with the right care and knowledge. With a well-maintained reef tank and suitable tankmates, these fascinating fish can be at peac with their antics for years to come.
Now we can discuss the unfathomable: What would you do if a boxfish died in your reef aquarium? Although it is unfortunate, being ready is key. This is where activated carbon comes in handy! You can help keep any possible toxins from harming your other tank inhabitants by quickly removing any remains and using activated carbon filtration. In spite of the possible risks, Boxfish make excellent tank mates for the prepared re**er.

Melissa studied both mechanical engineering as well as graphic design at Grand Canyon University and in just a short time, Melissa has become incredibly knowledgable as an aquarist. Melissa is both one of our maintenance technicians as well as managing our graphic design and social media department. She also is a licensed Padi Open Water, and Nitrox diver and loves to read and learn about her passion; marine life and the science behind filtration and how it affects the entire ecosystem open or closed.
