Ok to address some concerns that have suddenly came up after 3 years of me rescuing cats. And this will be long.

Not be single time has any pup been at risk, the one time there was an issue to cat clients I canceled appointments (even though any vaccinated cat would have NOT been at risk, I still canceled those appointments)

Not at any time has any pup been at risk.

Most feline diseases are not transmittable to dogs. There are some illnesses that both can contract but those are through BITES AND F***S. The babies that we have at risk are not around the dogs and all litter boxes are fully contained. We have had cats for the 8 years we have been open and not one single incident of a pup getting into a litter box.

We have suffered significant losses especially with some of our kittens. And although I say illnesses, that is not exactly accurate.

Yes, they arrive sick, but not anything that will affect others. If that were the case all my cats would be sick. It's simply because they are so young. Way too young to be without a mother.

Neonates and kittens very young have no immune system, especially those that never get a chance to nurse from their mother, or those born to mother's that are never vaccinated. The deadliest feline illnesses do not affect dogs at all. And most of those are completely preventable with vaccines.

For this to be a problem after 3 years is very disheartening because not a single client has ever been put at risk. We have always been known for the love and care that we give. Not one single instance has there ever been a problem.

I may have irritated some people when I kept on about known issues that aren't improving, like skin issues, weight, or ear infections, but I have always been upfront with any issue that I see with clients.

At the same time, trust is a huge issue. Trust is earned and I mistakenly thought that over the years that trust had been earned. But somewhere the doubt is being spread.

Although, tthere has not been a single issue with any of my clients suddenly my business is suffering. False fears are being spread and well I'm beginning to learn that no good deed goes unpunished.

I do appreciate those that have let me know they were leaving, I do wish some would have actually talked to me first but that's OK.

Again TRUST, to me this is most important. I don't see my profession as a job, I am invested with any pet that comes through my door. When they come in they are my babies. Even they ones that try to eat me up. The fact I am still grooming after 2020 testifies to that.

I have been grooming more than half my life, I have never ever put any animal at risk, nor will I ever. These babies are my life, quite literally.

With all that being said, if YOU still are uncomfortable please let me know, its down right disgraceful to just not show up and cost me more on top of everything I am giving to the community and these babies.

Not sure... Talk to me, talk to your vet, with accurate information, not heresay. No unvaccinated or health tested cat is running about the salon.

The babies its their age and circumstances that is deadly not actual illnesses but how else do you describe it. Yes we have some respiratory infections. But it just with the little bitty babies and no other CAT OR PUP has been affected.

Respiratory infections tend to happen when exposed to outside elements and it's affecting the little ones worse than it ever would an older cat because they were dumped out whereever.

Again not a single client has ever been affected, because they are not directed exposed. We routinely disinfect and I use Rescue disinfectant and bleach wipes when I handle my kittens.

There's not much more I can say, other than I love all my babies. Every single one that has ever came through my door. I am disheartened, sad, and well I feel defeated, because my life has always been about my babies. That will never change, even if I have to close my doors. I will never ever stop being an advocate for my babies. (Clients or rescues)

FYI...Keep your babies indoors and if not microchips in case of escape this is cheap and effective.

Everyone can help us in some capacity.

Kitten season is beyond overwhelming this year, rescues have never seen it this bad before. We are caring for over 60 cats and kittens with various injuries, illnesses, and medical issues. Many are under 8 weeks old and will require all wellness checks once healthy and combo testing and spay/neuter.

No one can do it alone.
Rescues can't do it without support.

***IMPORTANT***
To those close to the salon!!!

We found a kitten in the bushes by the stop sign at the corner of Fisher Ferry & Holly Grove this morning. Likely dropped out. I did not find anymore but I did set a trap in that area just in case. We are gone for the day and so far the trap is empty.

IF ANYONE RIDES BY AND SEES A KITTEN IN THAT TRAP SEND ME A MESSAGE!!!

Long shot but is anyone missing a kitten on corner of Holly Grove Road and Fisher Ferry Street???

Or if you dumped it, did you just dump one in this busy intersection.

A client saw it, heard it crying and came and got me. I had to crawl through wet blackberry briars and God only knows what else to get this little one. But the baby is now safe. I couldn't hear or see anymore.

WE ARE NOT CLOSING OR MOVING!!!

The stuff in the carport is for the RESCUE YARDSALE on Saturday June 8th at 8am. We are still very busy grooming each day.

Rumors are hilarious at times. 🤣

Now we be be closed on June 7th - 10th to celebrate Azure's Birthday. But we will be here
Saturday for the Yard Sale and back to work on June 11th!

Huge prayers for a very close friend

She's always, and I mean always put pretty much everyone else before herself, a true pillar in the community, and someone that I love very dearly. Prayers for healing and for guidance and for her to please for the love of God ask us for help! We truly want to help in any way we can.

That being said, if she needs help, I will be doing some rescheduling or letting my staff handle it. We may not have much advance notice, depending on what happens, but I will be there for whatever she needs. 💯

I love you girl!

This is one of those posts that as a business owner, I should probably stay away from.

But yeah, that's just not me. I do realize things have changed. I have still given every single pup my upmost attention but at times there have been slight delays when I have have been feeding and abandoned or abused newborn.

There are times my salon isn't the cleanest, visually. Oh it's sanitized but cat litter and black floors, yikes. It makes me nuts. And this is new for us so a work in progress. And apparently caged kitties get bored and like to make a mess.

Will I make you wait a little longer so that a baby gets fed to survive??? Absolutely because it's a life versus inconvenience. And I do tell people when I see I'm behind.

I mean most places pups spend all day not just 2 hours or less (obviously multiple pets take longer)

Most of our cats are completely contained in kennels except our 2 shop cats who have always been there unless you just happen too come when we let them out for cleaning, early morning which they go right back in catios or late evening. Or my Laverne that has life saving treatments and fasting. So how are they a problem?

Sorry if that bothers you. I'd think you would want a groomer that would value life more but that's OK. I will always value life and health over convenience.

Yes there have been issues, we got hit hard fast because the babies were let down so very badly.

And, if you don't like it then fine. Peace, love and I hope you find someone that suits you. Because there needs to be a relationship between a groomer and clients. That is crucial. It's never been about money, it's about the well being on your pet. But life happened and somehow I am able to help these precious souls.

I would just prefer you'd tell me your concerns or issues and you know talk rather than no show for appointments and cost me money and time. Just for your new groomer to contact me when you complained about my cats.

Don't like it fine, but don't put me down for trying to help a problem that our entire community faces. I may be a LOT overwhelmed because its a crisis and way to many are dying horribly.

And I will apologize but I promise even though I hate inconveniencing anyone, I will never regret it to save a life.

The latest rescue a man trapped in a cage and them shot them... 2 survivors at 7 weeks old.

Yeah, we are working to get a better routine. But honestly we've done a very good job at keeping on schedule with everything.

So please if me saving these babies bothers you so so badly. At least have the decency to call and cancel appointments so that it doesn't cost us more money.

I don't want a client that doesn't value my my efforts to save pets.

If there is a legitimate concern, then talk to me, pleaee, otherwise, we are not a good fit.

I have always expressed health or behavioral concerns as I see them, because I care.

I love all my babies.
