Please Join us at La Fiesta in Marion, Illinois on September 9, 2023 as we co-host a fundraiser all day to help provide support for one of our beloved team members.

Hannah Johnson is one of our Client Advocates in our Lodge department. Hannah delivered her son, Cohyn Matthew Johnson on July 19, 2023 at 34 weeks gestational age weighing 5 pounds 5 ounces. Cohyn was born with polycystic kidney disease, which was inherited from his mother, Hannah. Since his birth he has been in the St. Louis Children's Hospital NICU, He will be having to undergo a surgery to remove one of his kidneys due to them both being too enlarged for his tiny little body. He has a long hospital stay ahead of him to allow him to grow stronger and recover from the upcoming surgery he desperately needs.

La Fiesta will be donating a portion of all the sales from Saturday September 9th directly to the family to help with medical expenses. Please join us in helping Hannah and her family during this difficult time.

With a rise in temperatures. We have also seen a rise in positive heart worm tests. 🦟 💓
Remember, heart worms are transmitted from an infected bite from a mosquito. Once a mosquito bites an infected animal, all it has to do is bite a healthy animal to infect them. It takes 6 months to test positive for heart worms. That is why it is so important to not let your prevention lapse. Even a 2 week lapse is enough for prevention to no longer fully cover your pet.
