Learning while playing! Rusty is a 5 mos old Miniature Poodle here for our Puppy Board & Train...gotta burn off some of that energy!
Here’s a video that I made for a client concerning how to train in 5 minutes or less with your puppies after they graduate. This, in my go-home write up is referred to as “rapid fire obedience”. We are looking to get a high volume of reps with little duration. Something fast and entertaining for our young dogs to work for part of their meals before we head off to work for the day. Here is Mazie, a couple weeks into her puppy board and train 🙂
Pro Tip: do not remove the leash from the equation until you’re getting this exact response with the leash on first, then you can take it off when you’re not as concerned about your puppy checking out.
Training Ebony, a six-month-old Beagle Lab that is here for our Basic Board & Train Program to run around cones. A little extra training so that the young boys in her home have a great way to constructively interact with her. Also, Ebony can run off some of her energy!
Belle giving us a Leash Walking Master Course! She’s 11 days into her two week problem based board and train ♥️
Enjoy 16 mins of uninterrupted Goose, the 4 month old Lagotto Romagnolo. Goose graduated from his puppy board and train with honors. ♥️

My 9 year old Emma, doing some public outing obedience with Guiness the Cane Corso! Guiness has had a rough go.. after a couple of real bites, several more thousand dollars to other training companies, and a lot of stress in the household were building the foundation correctly this time!
DEMON DOG is how Simba's mom described him. Simba didn't listen to commands, never settled down, was annoying and more....Simba came to us for the Adult Board & Train Program.
THIS IS WITHIN 24 HOURS OF TRAINING....let us share with you what your dog needs in order to transform them into an enjoyable companion. You both will lead better lives!
Tyr, the Labrador just wrapped up with week 2 of his 4 week advanced board and train and the turn around thus far has been incredible to be a part of.
Tyr wanted to be very possessive of his toys/food and snarl/growl/bite/etc over any kind of movement in his vicinity when he had something. We started by teach positions such as sit and down in a low arousal state for food, then moved to teaching them in a higher arousal state for ball (seen in the last 2 mins), now we are proofing the drop it command, proofing the positions in his heightened arousal state, as well as off leash public obedience when he’s “in drive”. Enjoy Tyr very enthusiastically enjoying his stay here at QK9C where he learns the answers to all things freedom and control!
9 year old future dog trainer Emma, proofing some behaviors for Ozzie who is graduating from his two week puppy board and train this week! Ozzie is a 5 month old Pitbull mix that came with some fear reactivity and had bad habits of jumping on people and barking while pulling on leash. Good job Emma!
Rainy the GSD on day 4 of her two week puppy board and train doing some environmental exposure at Home Depot 😍
Oof 🥹 love you big time, Asher!
Asher came to us for a basic board and train for just being naughty and reactive. He would pee and throw up anytime he was being transported whether in a crate or loose. He would anxiously jump all over any human that he was familiar with, and harass them constantly to the point of hurting them. He showed aggressive tendencies with people he was unfamiliar with, especially men, so picking up the dog for his training on day 1 was a little spicy 🌶. Asher drug his owners on a leash pretty bad to the point that he wasn’t leaving the house or yard because it wasn’t peaceful. This was our two week go-home video, and we couldn’t be more proud of little Asher!!

B&T Gitti that was bred here at QK9C by Matt, working some environentals and basic obedience as she gets ready to go back and start training for a bomb or drug detection certification and work in the real world! I’ve loved working with this girl, and can’t wait to see what all she accomplishes as a working dog. ♥️

Went to Cabelas and flooded them with training 🙂
Board and Trains Gitti (Labrador), Saidi (German Shepherd), and Jax (Pitbull mix) all having a blast and learning different things!
Week 3 for Brasco! His biggest downfalls were reactivity (growling/lunging/snapping and even biting) toward any and everyone, and he could not be touched or managed when at the vet, or getting bathed/nails done. Here he is today at an outing at Lowes, and getting bathed by a stranger. Happy with the progress! 1 week to go 🙂
B&t Bowie being worked and listening very well with his leash manners!

Dumb little video of something I’m very proud of! Brasco the APBT mix, is hands down one of the most reactive and insecure dogs I’ve met in my life, so this little clip at the start of his 3rd week of training has me excited to say the least! Thanks Cabelas for letting us raid your store 3-4 times a week! ♥️
17 week old Majest the working line Doberman puppy here for his Puppy Board and Train. Checking out of week 1 ✅
Okay, Isaac here 🙂
I get alot of questions about “rapid fire obedience” and what it means in my write ups on your go-home packets so here is a 5 minute clip of Brasco the APBT doing “rapid fire obedience” for his dinner. It took me 5 minutes to get somewhere around 25-30 reps of commands! Fast, easy way to stay engaged with your pets before going to work, while also feeding them and creating some value in doing things *quickly* when you ask. Brasco has been here just over a week and this was his 2nd place bed experience.
13 week old Gunner the German Shepherd Dog, graduated from his puppy board and train today! He was with us for almost 3 weeks, and set a foundation for the rest of his life that will be easily maintained and make him a joy to be around for the next 15 years. It’s never too early to start puppy training 🙂
