Please help me welcome Archie to our New Life Family. He is a Shih Tzu/Bichon... Male..DOB 7/9/18. He is not quite ready for adoption yet he still needs to be neutered and a dental.

He is the most sweet little gentleman ever. He will need help with his house training and socialization. He loves to cuddle and just be with people....get your applications in if interested I can guarantee you this littleman won't last long.

Please contact your State Representative today and ask them to oppose AB957. This bill which is going to the Assembly Committee tomorrow (1/31/24) is known as a 'preemption' bill and if passed would strip away the rights of local cities and counties to pass ordinances pertaining to animals, including puppy mill sales in stores.

We are very sorry to share with you that Penelope passed away earlier this morning. She lived much longer than we first expected. During her time spent in freedom, Penelope got to experience the snow, Christmas, a warm bed and toys, lots of friends, and most importantly love ❤️ We are so grateful for that ✨

I didn’t even know if she was going to make it home. This is the first picture I took of Penelope after I picked her up. The breeder called me and asked if I wanted this little Cavalier puppy because she wasn’t doing well. I went to pick her up that night and he wouldn’t let me have her until I went in to look at her to make sure I wanted to take her. When we walked in and he shined his light on her she was just laying there in the cage, up in the air, eye-level to us. It was dark and cold and all she had was a tiny piece of fabric to lay on to get off of the hard plastic where her tiny feet could fall through the holes. She was shaking and did not look good. He told me if you don’t take her, I’m going to kill her. I said absolutely I will take her and he handed her to me and I wrapped her up in my sweater to walk back down to the car. I really didn’t know if she was going to make it through the night. Penelope has been with us for almost a month now and has had weekly vet visits. She is 6 months old and only 3.5 lbs. At this time, she is getting several different medications three times daily, along with special food to try to get her eating. She has swelling on her brain, that has much improved, a soft spot on the top of her head and underdeveloped lungs. We are working so hard to get Penelope healthy and strong. As you can imagine, this has been costly. If you can, please consider making a contribution toward Penelope’s care. We appreciate you all so much and will keep you updated on her progress ♥️

A little update. We have been getting so many calls lately and in turn so.many.dogs!! Unfortunately due to lack of space and funding we have had to turn some away 😢 A big thank you to my mom who has been doing pick ups for me, grooming the dogs and transporting! If you are ever interested in helping, please let us know. We are also in need of some small collars. If you can find it in your ❤️ please consider making a donation to this VERY wonderful rescue who helped us save 2 baby kittens and a momma who we rescued from out on their own and momma has a broken shoulder. We were told it was shattered and she will have to have it removed. It was very heartbreaking and it was very hard work for us to catch them and find a place to go.
