Have you ever opened a box of crayons, only to find they're all different shades of one color?! That's what happened when Mama Lenna (a dark tortie girl) popped out her 6-pack, who are 3 weeks old today! Officially introducing with names, the 6 Shades of Orange crew - Pastel, Atomic T, Peachy Keen, Clay, Royal and Rusty. Seriously though, how adorable are their names and their photoshoot by their foster? 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡

Mama BonBon really could use a home of her very own and a family to snuggle up to. Her two babies were adopted way before her, and now it's her turn to be someone's baby. Bonnie loves lounging on the catio, even if she has a friend creeping behind her (we see you, Hailey!). Bonnie is sweet, calm and affectionate and so, so beautiful. Can we find someone to love her in time for tomorrow? 🐈‍⬛🖤

Look at this little gentleman! Nigel is feeling and looking so much better after he came to us with a huge, deep hole in his neck (confirmed it was not a botfly). He's a sweet, playful boy who loves to be pet and held.

Ollie and Oscar are outstanding, optimistic, obliging...oh, and orange! 🧡 These 7-year-old brothers came to us after their owner sadly couldn't take them when moving. They're still acclimating here, but are open to new opportunities and a new family.

Ollie is all orange and very observant of his surroundings, wide-eyed and statuesque while taking it all in. He was fine just loafing in his transition crate after graduating from the intake kennel. Oscar is orange and white, and is a little more outgoing than his brother. He promptly wanted out of his crate to explore the colony room and all the cool toys and other cats in there. Soon, buddy! Ollie and Oscar just complement each other purrrfectly, so we hope they'll find a quiet retirement home together, but they could go to separate homes. They seem fine with other cats. They've never lived with dogs and seemed a little scared at the sight of one here, so a dog-free home may be best. Both boys are neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

We have to do a day early because we are COMPLETELY OUT of skin health dog food!!! So many of our dogs benefit from it, but especially Eli. This sweet good boy has graduated to office greeter, and while meds are helping, he needs that extra boost of nutrients for his dry skin and patchy fur on his hind end.

Say hello to Missy. Like our little buddy Nigel, she was brought to us with a huge hole in her neck. This time, it WAS a botfly (Nigel's was not). Yuck! She's feeling much better after a vet visit to get it removed (pic is after).

The Kitten of the Day is Pepsi!

Part of the Soft Drink kittens, Pepsi is a chill little girl all dressed up in her best tuxedo. She and her sister Sq**rt, are about 4.5 months old and the only two left of the original 6-pack. Don't let them get any older in the shelter! Pepsi is friendly, relaxed and cuddly. She loves her naps while tucked away in the wall box shelves. She also loves her kitten friends and would love to go home with one. Pepsi is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Our hearts are with all those affected by the devastating flooding. If anyone needs pet-related items, we sent dog food, cat food, bedding and carriers to CV High School today. Huge thank you to LuAnn and Hans for bringing items up. Our volunteer LuAnn's work place also took up a collection for flooding victims, so she was able to purchase a ton more pet items. It takes a village. ❤️

UPDATE: Back home!

These two lovely ladies came in after being found on N Bullock Rd, Wellsboro. We know who the owner is, but no one can get a hold of them. We have NO more space, so it's imperative folks pick up their dogs when they come in as strays. We're open today until 4 and again on Tuesday, 12-5.

Vendor spaces are approximately 10x10', no electricity available, you provide your table, tent, etc. $20 set up fee for for-profit vendors or FREE set up for nonprofit 501c3 organizations. We're hoping the majority of vendors/organizations are animal-related, but that's not 100% necessary. Limited space is available, so register today.

The Kitten of the Day is Milo!

Milo and his brothers, Cuddles and Buggy, were with a foster for the last couple months and just made their way back here. And boy, are these boys a hoot! Vocal, friendly, cuddly and relaxed to the max. Cuddles and Buggy are virtually tuxedoed twins and Milo must have gotten the rest of their pigment. They're about 3.5 months old and are still growing into their bat-like ears. All the better to hear when new friends are coming! How cool would it be if these brothers found a home together in an ultra rare triple adoption? Or, how about two and two with one of their other buddies in the kitten room? Adopting two kittens is a huge joy that we've not heard one person regret!

Denver is hoping the shelter's country roads take him home to the place he belongs. In other words, he's looking for his mountain mama (or dad, or both). Whoever that is doesn't yet know how lucky they'll be to have a BFF like Denver.

With eyes that sparkle like nuggets of gold, Denver is a 2ish-year-old lab mix who has a bronco-like spirit. He's still getting the hang of the leash and knowing his own strength, but he's a well-behaved boy who is quick to learn. Happy and playful are his middle names, with one of his favorite playthings being a slightly deflated soccer ball that he happily pounces on, shakes and chases after. Denver wants to be friends with everyone, even if he prefaces it with a hearty, deep, hello. He loves other dogs and is curious about cats, so he may chase them, but only in play. This sweet puppy boy is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
