Is family owned and operated. We are located about 25 minutes west of Port Huron in Michigan’s thumb region. Our passion is raising quality poultry for the backyard farmer and 4-H groups across the nation. Over the past few years we have acquired the following breeds: Black Copper Marans, Blue Laced Red Wyandotte’s, Silkies, Showgirls, Polish, Wellsummer, Easter Egger, Frizzl

e, Standard Cochin, & Salmon Faverolles. The chickens raised here on our farm are of good breeder stock, not hatchery birds. If your looking for your 4-H project, or a bird that you plan to show you would want to pick a breed that is for showing purpose. Hatchery chickens are bred for superior egg production, not to show standards. If your looking for something not listed, please let us know. We are a hatchery direct dealer and are able to fill large chick orders of the

following breeds:
Sliver laced wyandottes, golden laced Wyandottes, Easter Eggers (LAY BLUE/GREEN EGGS), New Hampshire Reds, Rhode Island Red, Black S*x Link, black Australorps, Buff Orpingtons, Isa Browns,Light Brahmas, Barred Rock, California Gray Leghorn, Jumbo Cornish Rock Cross. Meat Birds:
We offer Jumbo Cornish Rock Cross birds all year around. You can order your chicks here in our farm store and pick them up on our farm, or we can ship them directly to you weather permitting. Shipped chicks require a minimum order of 25 in order to keep warm during shipping. Also Available:
We do sell hatching eggs, eating eggs, turkey poults, ducks, meat birds, meat turkeys, and baby chicks & ducklings. You can buy directly from our farm with no minimum required. However, if your chicks have to be shipped we can only ship in a quantity that will give the chicks the ability to keep each other warm during the trip. We can ship live poultry and hatching eggs, just ask. You will find everything we offer in our farm store. The store is updated as new products are added. So get a cup of coffee and look around :o)

The front porch has always been a sweet spot for me. We have a beautiful back deck with an attached gazebo, that never gets used. I spend my spring, summer, and fall mornings out here drinking my coffee and pondering my daily tasks. I was blessed at the age of 4 when my Mom bought a farm. I worked my butt off everyday on that farm taking care of my critters and loving every second of it. From showing horses & rabbits, to putting a saddle on a rescue bull and watching the boys attempt to ride him while laughing so hard, I cried. Little did I know then that that farm was building me. Teaching me how to love and care for other beings, showing me that when you work your heart out for the things that bless your soul, it's not really work at all. Farm life as a child, and now as an adult here on my own farm is simply an amazing way to exist. The world is a very ugly place, but here it's beautiful. Rarely does anyone understand me and how I run this place. Most raise animals for food, and treat them as if they are insignificant. I treat them as the beautiful little souls they are. No creature here is discarded for an ailment, they are loved nurtured, and cared for when sick just as a human would be. Everyday I wake up, walk out onto this porch and get to gaze upon my own little slice of paradise, what a magnificent blessing I have been gifted. Sometimes I wonder how on earth I deserved the life I have? Of course, I have lived through my own fair share of troubles, but I truly believe with all my heart that our trauma in life prepares us to appreciate our blessings. I am blessed beyond belief every single day . As we prepare to say goodbye to this beautiful place and begin our move south, I hope this farm write notes of love and blessings all over the hearts of the next family. ❤️

Tonight, I actually put my birds in a photographers light box for this photo shoot! The pictures came out beautiful, but one of my hens was furious and kept pecking me. I have been breeding Blue Laced Red Wyandotte chickens for a decade. Choosing breeding stock from wonderful breeders across the country when introducing new blood has worked wonders. If you start with the best stock you can find, the only direction to go is forward.

Fall is absolutely the most beautiful time of year here in Michigan. The trees put on an amazing show of color, reminding us that change is so incredibly beautiful while the earth produces the final burst of food blessings to nourish it's creatures through the winter months. I always find myself motivated to transform my space bringing the feeingsl of the fall indoors. Yesterday I spent my evening picking an array of leaves in all shades and sizes from the woods and waxing them for preservation. I decided to attach a few to the top of this herb hanging I was making. The rest will be used for a fall garland very soon. A very messy, but rewarding process. Usually in Michigan this time of year the peppers start to get sickly and die off. We grow peppers in our greenhouse and although it's October, we still have blossoms coming on. With 3 50ft rows of peppers to pick, I got a tom of work to do! ❤️

I've been vegetarian for over a year now as of January 2nd. It definately does not seem like it's been that long. However, I can say I'm very happy with my choice and I have absolutely zero interest in meat. The switch to a plant based lifestyle was very easy for me. Mostly because I have to stand up for what I believe is right, not only with my body and lifestyle, but also with my money. I do not agree with the way animals are treated one bit. I also do not believe in the killing or consumption of another being. Especially another mammall which is closely related in DNA. Believe it or not, you become what you eat and you are taking on the hormones and cells of the life you consume. With an American diet being made up of mostly meat consumption and dairy, no wonder we are a very sickly country. Back in the day meat was a once a week fancy dinner, today meat is the base of every meal. To each their own choice, and vegetarian has been a wonderful choice for me. I always makes me feel good to make a stand for what I believe is right. Apparently, I am not alone in this. Companies are racing to jump on the plant based meat idea. Slowly, Americans are becoming interested in the quality and sustainability of what they consume. If we spend our money consistantly with the companies that serve our needs, eventually the garbage will fall. I look forward to the day when the American diet is free from chemical poision, no longer centered around the cooked flesh of another being, the day that food becomes locally grown by sustainable small farms.

Most ranches use horse power, this ranch uses chicken power! Rob and Alex moved the White Rock flock while inside their chicken tractor over to the outdoor garden. The ladies will be very excited when they are let out tomorrow morning. New gro und to explore mak es chickjens very happy.The race to weed and till for me on their mad search for bugs and grubs. Scratchin and a pecking all day long! Hopefully soon, we will be adding pig power to the ranch!
