Symptoms of Blastomycosis can minic influenza, acute bacterial pneumonia, or other lung infections, making it difficult to diagnosis. These illnesses are often treated with antibiotics. If you have symptoms and are not responding to the antibiotics talk to your healthcare provider right away.

Early recognition and appropriate treatment, usually antifungal medicine, for Blastomycosis can minimize illness.

This year blastomycosis is present even more then normal, because of drier river/lake beds. Watch for symptoms and contact your vet with any questions.

Rescued Pet Veterinary Kare opened at the beginning of 2024! Their clinic building used to be “Countryside Vet Care” so if you are not finding the updated information on Google Maps or YELP, please know their staff is working to update the information. Their building is located about 6 miles from Merrill but their staff will provide directions to their clinic when you schedule an appointment. They offer monthly spay and neuter days for the public.

Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9am-5pm. Contact Rescued Pet Veterinary Kare at 715-409-2919 to schedule an appointment or get more information.

Pricing: The normal price for a cat spay is $120 and a cat neuter is $100. They do offer special cat spay and neuter days occasionally - then prices are $70 for a cat spay and $60 for a cat neuter. Dog surgery prices vary based on weight so you will need to contact the clinic staff for details.
