Some damage ( mostly branches down) but every body is doing good. Got a post reset temporarily and a lot of the branches and limbs picked up!
Now the horse are either in their shelters hiding from the rain or grazing on some hay.

Happy spring!

Coming soon, April 1st, we have 2 stalls with pasture turnout and 2 self-care pasture spot available!

Stall openings include morning and evening feedings. (Owner supply grain) We supply hay when stalled and hay is supplied in pasture. Gelding and mare pasture are separate and also have shelters, room to run and new friends!

Other accommodations are the indoor, outdoor, tack room space, and small trails on property.

Message me with questions!

The change of weather and wind blew everyone's memory away of how night feed/stalling should work...but they are all in and happy.

-10 degrees is cold, but worked up a sweat on night check tonight walking through the pastures. Unfortunately it was very wet going into this cold snap and the pastures are tough to walk in for the animals. They are doing great though and very happy how these first few days have gone!

Just me and the boys eating some breakfast. All though I passed on the hay, Beth had made some breakfast burritos and filled me up! Everyone was nice and warm this morning and everything going as good as can be expected. Ashley, Niki and her husband have the Stalls and barn all cleaned up and looking good!! Next two or three days will ”test” the facilities, but these horses all are in good shape with lots of extra insulation. Pretty sure they laugh at us being all bundled up going out there each time to check everything. Lol. The stall horses don’t understand still why they can go outside to play too. 😂

I want to give a shout out to our barn manager, Ashley Quigley. She is always here through the extreme heat and cold making sure everyone is safe, fed and happy. And with a singsong attitude, nose boops and a friendly smile, she makes the best life she can for the fur dragons. Thank you, Ashley, for all you do.

First snow of the season is going well! Everyone is either eating or hiding from the wind! I can’t say I blame them!

Went for a walk on the trails tonight with Stella. Looks like some of my wildflowers made it. Not too many but to be fair, I just tossed them out there and hoped for the best. 😂😂😂
And look at this view! Oh my! 🥰
Thank you Jason Quigley for the mounting blocks/resting stones by the trail head.

Just a story I heard.

BRUSH out your horse’s Fairy Reins. Don’t ever cut them out.

As the story goes, when a child dies, it makes all the angels in Heaven cry, and their tears make it too hard to see, to bring that child to Heaven.

So the fairies rush to help. But the fairies are so small, that they can’t make it all the way to Heaven on their own.

So they braid a rein into a horse’s mane and borrow the horse in the dark of night to get the child up to Heaven.

When you cut out a Fairy Rein, or roach a horse’s mane, they can’t borrow your horse.
