It’s “No Stirrup November “! Sandie Leon has a good start yesterday and today (yes, she’s sore 😉) Let’s do this!
Knee Deep and Lovin It!
It’s been so nice to have a break in the weather! We had a full day of students and the horses getting worked. This horse was begging for a workout, at the end of the day, sooo..... 🤠🐎 He got his “haha’s” out!
When a 5 year old is learning to steer, and doing it well, it’s so awesome ! Gotta love Apache, she’s the best teacher mare ever 👍
Knee Deep and Lovin It!
Pretty certain the horses are happy that it started raining again, here in North Carolina! A week ago, it was brown, dry, and fearful of losing pasture land 😬
Soo, the lesson is focused on lateral and vertical bending on a circle, with control. All is good... until a pasture horse bangs the gate, and all the horses had to react! So proud of my student who kept her composure so well!👏 horses are always teaching them to “expect the unexpected “.

Derby Day lesson! Fun!
Knee Deep and Lovin It! 🐎
Here it comes! 2018! Last ride for 2017.... it’s been a good ride, more to come!!💕
Yea "Fred", and Jolena! Again!
Drill work. Stride control. Based on timing
Getting a train of thought. Before you train.
The rain gave us a break, and we got the farm tended, the best we could.
Lessons were postponed, the horses had vacations,
But when the weather breaks,
Get ready set go....
sore muscles will be back, 😫,
That's a fact!
Mud happens!
Knee Deep and Lovin It!
Rain day means Play Time!
Over time, a child who shows devotion, passion, commitment, parents can feel secure in rewarding it. This saddle was my daughter's at age 7, then it was "Freds'" (Kathleen's) at age 13 ish, and now, it's Aidan's (age 10), and still in our tack room.
Too special!!!! 💕
Knee Deep and Lovin' It!
Happy days
