Shelter Dogs of Portland is a collaboration of shelter volunteers. Our mission is to feature adoptable dogs in the Portland Metro area using the power of photography and social media, to market the dogs to adopters, and to help people and dogs connect. Shelter Dogs of Portland primarily features dogs from the Multnomah County Animal Services open intake shelter and occasionally from other area she
lters, because no one organization can do this work alone. We are not the shelter. In the spirit of promoting happy adoptions, Shelter Dogs of Portland is committed only to positive marketing of shelter dogs. No guilt trips. No urgent calls for rescue. If nothing else, we simply hope that the images shared and seen in your news feed brings a smile to your face and a little joy to your day. Want to know how to help? Liking our page helps. While our hope is to increase adoptions for animals who have not been claimed by their owners or who have been surrendered to the shelter, the primary mission of Multnomah County Animal Services is to reunite lost animals with their people. Cobb's a smart cookie, knows his name, basic commands, and is eager to learn more. 🧠 He's neutered, chipped, and ready to bring joy to his forever home. 🏡
