Figured it's time to do an "age update" on the CatMan Pride, starting with the oldest. Noname is estimated to be around 13-14 (we started feeding her outdoors 10 years ago). Bushy is estimated to be around 11 (she showed up with Noname). Loki is 10. Simba and Abaigeal are 9. Jinx, Nyx, Sasha, Hades, Iris, Checkers, and Sylvester are all 8. Evita is 7. Morrigan is estimated a 2. Yuna turned 1 year in May (Ciarans sister). Sirius, Grayson, Pepper, and Dottie all turn 1 year old on roughly August 10 (based on their age when I brought them home. Morrigans babies).

84/84 Today we should be celebrating. 84 days of FIP treatments, and entering observation. But we're not. You're not here, Ciaran. We were able to give you 54 days. We were able to give you your first birthday. We gave you everything we could, but it wasn't enough. I'd give anything to feel those claws on my face and those persistant sandpaper kisses on my nose. Oh, I know you're still around. Those nights I get woke up by Sirius doing it, but he's NEVER done that. So I think he lets you in. So you can let me know you're good. And that you're here, and you always will be. It still hurts to look at the pictures, because other than ashes, a patch of fur, and paw prints, that's all I have of you. Soon I'll have a picture of you I can never lose. I'm having one of my favorite pictures of you tattooed on my arm. But I bet you already know that. You were always a smart one. I can't write more because I can barely see to type. Never going to forget you, "Little Man".

Does anyone else have a cat (or cats) that do this? Morrigan and all 4 of her "kibbens" (Sirius pictured) will grab the chair or the bed and just hang/lay like this. Ignore Yuna, she's just as confused as we are..

Noname has been very clingy since last week. She's even laid on my leg while I'm sitting on the couch, and she NEVER lays on anybody (she's too "proper" for that kitten nonsense"). She knows, and she's doing her best to help, so I had to get a picture of her moustache and "toofers". Not bad for a roughly 14 year old momcat.

I can finally come out of my funk a bit, as I have decided on a "tribute" to Ciaran. I'm going to have this picture tattooed on my upper left arm/shoulder. It will be of his head and chest, to include the white patch. His name will be above, with "Little Man" under his name, and his date of birth and date of passing underneath. Will be scheduled as soon as I can get the $500 to have it done. Maybe another fundraiser. What do you all think?

It is with great sadness that I have to tell everyone we have lost Ciaran. He passed peacefully today after his battle with FIP. My boy looked to have it beat until this past weekend, when he took a turn for the worse and couldn't recover. We thank everyone for their support during his battle, and ask everyone to raise a glass in his, and all FIP fighters, honor.

I'll miss you every day, Little Man...

54/84 Thirty days to go, and we had to switch back to shots tonight. He flat out refuses to take the pills. Luckily we had a partial vial, so we gave him his shot tonight and hopefully there's enough for tomorrow. We need to get vials coming ASAP. He did get the ok for an antibiotic and anti-nausea shot this morning, and bloodwork should be back tomorrow.

53/84 And Ciaran is still not wanting to take his pills. His nose is runny, and I think he's cut back on eating a little (because his nose is runny, I hope). He's still camped out under the bed, but when he does come out, he's still walking and getting around like normal. At least until Pepper sees him and gives him grief. Bloodwork gets done in the morning, but I'll be messaging the FIP people tonight to see what they think. Ordered a pill popper, and should have it tomorrow.

52/84 Ciaran has decided he's going to be stubborn when it comes to taking his pills. Last night was bad, tonight he outright fought us. We ended up having to crush everything, mix it with churo, stuff it in a syringe, and force feed him. Picture is after his clean up. He's currently pouting under our bed.

51/84 And Ciaran is NOT happy. I wasn't home, so he didn't want to take his pills without a fight, and was seriously angry after Justin (catman junior) finally got his pulls in him. He's mad, he's under the bed, and he doesn't give a rats patootie about getting his picture taken.

50/84 Ciaran has become WAY too active to hold still for pictures. Half an hour of chasing him all over, and this is the result. Him and his shiny red fishy. I had to schedule his bloodwork for this coming Tuesday, since that was the only day my mobile vet was going to be close to our area (we're "technically" out of her service area, but she loves the kitties!). Thursday or Friday would have been awesome, since I'm taking a 4 day weekend for some much needed de-stressing, but it is what it is.

With his 60 day bloodwork due (a few days early), we only have roughly another 30 or so days to go. Any and all help is greatly appreciated- please donate and share if you can, share if you can't. Ciaran (and MANY others) are living proof that FIP is curable!

49/84 Ciaran is mad at me. I had to yell at him and put him in time out (which he promptly escaped from) for chasing Yuna (his littermate sister) and trying to bite her. She WAS sitting above him on the box he's in, but got down when I was trying to take his picture, and he tried to bite her again! He's not biting to do damage, it's his way of playing, but it's still not gonna happen, kiddo.

Ciaran had his weigh in tonight- just a tick under 7 pounds (6lbs, 15oz). His next round of bloodwork is in 8-10 days (I haven't made the appointment yet). GoFundMe is still going- please donate and share!

Ciaran and Yuna have officially had all their shots. Ciaran is 4 pounds, and will be going in for his neuter in 2 weeks. He's also getting his "big boy teefs" in, which explains his need to chew on fingers the past few days. Yuna is 3.2 pounds, and is still sporting her baby teeth for now, but we expect that to change in the next week. Vet thinks Ciaran will be around 11-12 pounds, and Yuna in the roughly 9 pound range. Loki is also doing very well, and has put the weight he lost (about 2 pounds) during his illness back on, and is back to his usual trouble making self.

You have no idea how glad I am to see a cat on the counter. Loki has returned to the "cat island" in the kitchen! His eating is finally returning to normal, his energy is back, he's purring again, and that shaking tail when he's happy!

Kitten update time! Both had their 2nd vet appointments today and their 2nd round of shots. All is good with both of them. Ciaran has put on a full pound, putting him at 2.7 pounds. Yuna has put on 3/4 pound, putting her at 2.6 pounds. Ciaran for the come back! LOL! Next appointment is in 3 weeks.

Todays vet (the one we really like) saw I was in yesterday with Loki and asked how he was doing. After the nausea meds wore off, he started the gagging again. Got up this morning and he was camping out in the couch, so we don't think he has really eaten. Doc went and looked at the info from yesterday, and preliminary bloodwork (still waiting for the full panel at the beginning of the week) showed all organs functioning normal- kidneys were my concern for obvious reasons, but everything organwise is fine. She said some level I can't pronounce is elevated, and asked if he's lost weight. Nothing noticed, he's still the chonky heifer he's always been. Whatever the level is, is associated with loss of muscle mass, but can be attributed to the not eating, so she gave me an appetite stimulant for him. The OTHER reason for the appetite stimulant, is because after she saw his xrays, he was going to be due for a nasty round of, and I quote, "explosive diarhea" in the next day or 2. Oh joy... We've already switch back to the tried and true food they all loved before the "shortage". You know it's bad when even the rest of them looked at the new food like "meh", but as soon as the old stuff hit the bowl, they all inhaled it. So it looks like Loki may be getting a steroid early in the week for the "bug", and we should be good to go.
