We are a family breeding farm, we do not overbreed our girls. Ebony is 7 now and has only had 6 litters, this will be her last litter and she will go into retirement this summer. Her daughter and will be taking over for Ebony in the coming years. Meg and Honey will be breeding this next Spring and Meg will be looking for retirement soon. Looks more substantial with a heavier look about them. Blockier and bigger built with barrel chests, they’re noticeably wider and more ‘solid’ looking. Has a wider head with a more pronounced and better defined stop, a fuller face and a shorter muzzle which further adds to their more solidly built appearance. Has a thicker, more powerful looking neck. Has a very noticeably thicker coat. Has a wider, thicker and generally straighter tail than their American cousins. Has shorter legs and hence don’t stand quite so tall. Bred for conformation they’re usually far closer to how the breed standard is written than the American type.

Honey had her babies while I was at Grandparents Day today. Unfortunately she had them outside in the massive hole she dug last night. After about an hour of rubbing with towels, heatlamp, electric heater, nursing and heating pad we have them stable. Thank you Kiera Sadernas for coming out and helping get all 6 of them going. Cleaning all the mud off them and mom was a chore as well.

These three awesome puppies are still waiting for their forever homes. They have a vet appointment today and finally their papers arrived last week. The male is in the middle the females are on both sides. If you know someone that needs a hunting partner or just a snuggle buddy let me know.

Ok we have finally gotten some great weather so the puppies got out for a walk and pictures. Tried to get two pictures of each of them but they don’t sit still long. Green, yellow, pink and red (who does not have a collar on) are girls and the boy does not have a collar on (but is obviously a boy).

So proud of the babies. Even with it as cold as it is they are trying really hard to keep their house clean. And so playfull.

Got home a couple hours ago and one of the babies had gotten out of the whelping house and got lost in the snow. Not sure how long she was out there but she is finally starting to come around. I have her wrapped in a heated blanket and rubbing her and gave her a little warm water. She is moaning so I know she hurts.poor girl.

We are a family breeding farm, we do not overbreed our girls. Bonnie started our journey and is 9 now and has only had 5 litters, and is now retired. Ebony is her daughter and will be taking over for Bonnie this year. Nutmeg is her chocolate daughter who will start breeding late fall 2018. Laddie has produced a number of great, healthy hunting dogs and family companions. We have English style labs. Our boy Tripp is registered for both UKC and AKC and comes from Dawson Labs out of Kansas City. He has been a great addition to our family. All puppies go through the “biostimulus training” and are potty trained to a dog door. When compared to an American type lab, the English type: Looks more substantial with a heavier look about them.
