Johnny and June

Substitution Lot 99 is Johnny a coming 3 yr old (born Oct or 21) Blue Roan Brabant Percheron grade gelding. He worked this last summer on a dude string up at 11,000 ft elevation in the Rocky Mountains carrying light weight guests. He is level-headed and easy going. He will ride off by himself with no issues. Good for beginner riders. Raised and trained by the Bays Ranch. A testament to his disposition – Last week when we had to make the tough decision to substitute Lots 99 & 100, we threw a harness on Johnny for the first time to see how he would handle it. He didn’t make a miss move. The video of him driving in this post is his 1st time being driven. He acted like a seasoned pro. Johnny is beginner broke to ride. I would call him green to driving but that’s just because last week was the first time. He drives better than most that have a years’ experience. He will turn heads. This horse will grow into a sale topper. He was born and raised in rugged country. Grew up in a pasture with a large river. Crosses water with ease. This will be his first time off our ranch and out of the mountain. TSS, UTD on shots & dewormer.



Substitution Lot 100 is June a 4yr old, Blue Roan, Percheron grade mare. She is beginner broke to ride and drive. She was used winters pulling commercial sleigh rides and summers giving trail rides to tourists. She will ride off by herself and is a guest favorite. She has seen elk, bear, moose, & mule deer on the trails & does not even raise her head to them. In the winter, the sleigh rides travel past skiers, snowmobiles, snowmaking guns and once again she doesn’t even raise her head. We raised this mare, and both her sire and dam are on our ranch. She is open and has never been exposed to a stud. Just easy going and fun to be with. TSS, UTD on shots & dewormer.

Heidi 6yr old & Hazel 7yr old, approximately16.2hh blue roan, grade Percheron 1/2 sister mares. We bred & raised this team. Both mares are out of blue roan dam’s & sire. They have been extremely gentle giving beginner guests trail rides in the Rocky Mountains for the last 4 summers. The last 4 winters they have pulled sleigh rides at Breckenridge Ski Resort. Snow guns, snowmobiles, sledders, and skiers do not faze them. They hauled manure and worked 6 abreast on the power unit baling hay. We have raised many nice c**ts out of them, and they were exposed to a blue roan triple registered Brabant stud last fall. This is a team the whole family can enjoy.
