‼️ Groom fee price has increased as of this week‼️
If we haven't already discussed your new grooming fee then please get in touch before your next groom to ask.

Some polite notices ⬇️

I'm getting a few last minute cancellations which currently I'm not charging for but according to my terms and conditions you have signed I should be taking a cancellation fee if less than 48 hours and full payment if cancellation is within 24 hours. Now I could be filling these appointments with new clients that I'm getting daily requests from. Please be mindful that if I'm not working I'm not getting paid!! I have a waiting list as long as my arm so please be considerate of my time.

Please pay your groom fee on the day of your dogs groom either by transfer or cash. I shouldn't have to chase.

If your dog has been for a walk prior to his/her groom can you please make sure they arrive without mud, grit and grass all over them. This means more washing and shampoo for me meaning less time to dry and clip your dog. Which could mean an unfinished groom if I don't have time before my next dog arrives. Its also means my salon is getting covered in mud meaning more cleaning for me. Again your terms and conditions state an additional fee will be added to your groom fee. Hopefully we will be seeing less rain soon and we can avoid coming in with a mud covered dog.

When parking at drop off or collection please be mindful of my neighbours driveways. Please do not block access and please do not park up on our verges.
...and one final note. Lots of dogs are coming in with very dirty bottoms. This is not only irritating for your dog and not very pleasant for them having me wash the area as its rock solid but this could potentially turn into something more nasty like fly strike which would be even more uncomfortable for your dog. Please keep an eye on your pups hygiene areas and keep them clean for them.

First tick of the season found.....and on one of my dogs!! Can you guess which one? Thankfully my tick treatment worked and the tick was dead. Its likely that it attached on our walk at 3pm this afternoon. I'm always playing with their heads and faces and this little blighter was on top of the eyelid and very small. If your dog likes running through fields and woodland then make sure your tick treatment is sufficient.

It’s been reading 24c here where I am today. So it was a walk early morning then another this evening. I don’t have high risk dogs, but still at this temperature it is a risk. I love my dogs dearly so I won’t be putting them at risk.

As of 1st June there will be price increase for all grooming appointments. This will be based on the individual dog. Coat type,coat length and style and your dogs behaviour will all be taken into consideration with new pricing.
Unfortunately my product costs just keep rising and utilities...well let's not go there 🤦‍♀️ we are all feeling these price hikes. I need to make a significant increase to keep my business worth running.
Please ask at your next appointment or message me for your dogs new groom price.

Price increase will range from £5-£15

For any of my clients with dogs up the Andover Road way. I took Margot to the vets this afternoon and there was a dog in who had been attacked by a small black terrier with longish hair at city playground this morning. Owner of attacking dog didn't seem bothered that her dog had attacked another and wouldn't give over her details. So please be aware if you walk your dogs over that way.

I've got a few days off to keep an eye on the children revising ( yeah right!!!) Stanley has been feeling poorly and quite sick since Sunday so we're having lots of cuddles and Margot going in to have her big girl op later on in the week. So whilst I'm not physically working I'm diary planning.

I'm taking some chunk of time off this summer to spend with the family before the big one goes off to uni 🤞😢 so appointments will be limited I'm afraid. I'm also only working every other friday and no weekends, I know this isnt ideal for some of you and totally understand if these working hours no longer fit in with your own busy lives. The appointments I do have will be allocated on a first come first serve basis so please message me to get the rest of your yearly appointments booked in. Most of you have appointments up until end of April/early May already. Please state prefered days and times to avoid me having to go back and forth with messages. Also include any holiday times you cannot do.

I'm holding off a pay increase but likely I will have to add one at some point mid year. I know times are hard but I'll be coming off of our fixed rate for Electricity soon and my bills are going to increase hugely, please keep in mind I have dryers going for an hour or more sometimes. So I'll be monitoring each dog over the coming grooms to see how long they take to thoroughly dry. This seems to be the fairest way to deal with the costing issue.

I was expecting this before today. Been dealing with frozen pipes all week but this morning it's taking an age to get them running. I also think the water tank may need to be looked at 🤦‍♀️🙄😬 Current temperature up here is -7 so we're a long way from thawing out. I've been in touch with all of those due in today and fortunately I was supposed to have Monday off so I will be able to reschedule for then, providing everything is working or fixed 🙏

Final groom of 2023...where on earth has this year disappeared to? Now time to get my three groomed and of course sort myself out along with food shopping and wrapping presents. Talk about leaving it to the last minute.

Wet Sunday vibes 🤣🐾💗

This gorgeous girl is reactive. Hates her legs being brushed or touched. She comes regularly for groom and for in-between bath sessions. The trust she has in me is building and she freely gives me her paws even though her fight or flight instinct is telling her not to. The whole process is slowed down and all movements from me are slow so not to startle her. She is never going to enjoy being groomed but slowly slowly she is less fretful and more trusting. It helps I have nice treats that she can't get enough of 🤣 its never the best groom but it's a comfortable groom. Even her vets are pleased with her being happier to hand over her paws for nail cutting which her owners says has a lot to do with my patience with her. She does however love her ears being brushed so we keep them on the longer side 💕 I am so privileged she is letting me into her world and I love spending time with her. I love you sweet girl.

I thought it was the bath she wanted but it turns out Margot is in love with Dexter today. Left the bath door open only to have Margot take a leap to get in 🤦‍♀️🤣🐾 She sat by the grooming table throughout his whole groom. Then swamped him with kisses which he gladly accepted. You can go home and rest now handsome boy 🐾🤣💗

Wash and dry day for Margot. At 9 months she's hit the teenage years and slightly testing the water with what she can get away with on the grooming table....doesn't help her mummy is her groomer 🤣 This is the dog that barks at me when I'm drying my own hair because she thinks she is missing out. I have to dry her too 🤦‍♀️🤣 However I will still look af her and be proud that she is absolutely amazing on the table compared to what she could be like.

🐾💗PLEASE CHECK YOUR MESSAGES 💗🐾 I'm slowly working through my diary for 2023 and booking in for the whole year if that's what you would like. Priority is going to those who come most regularly and those with multiple dogs who come in together. Thank you to those who have messaged to ask for dates, I've hopefully responded to all of those messages. Unfortunately the diary is almost full into June already and spaces are now limited until then. If you have holidays booked then please pop me a message ASAP before I allocate appointments for you. 💗🐾A trip to the coast on my last day off. Mabel clearly not impressed with her daughters lack of relaxation skills at the end of the day. The face says it all. If she could talk she'd probably be asking me when Margot is moving out 🤣🤣🐾💗 💗🐾I didn't get around to sorting my diary out for the next year but if you haven't already got your appointments booked in until june/July this year then please leave me a comment here with preferred days and times and I'll do my best to accommodate. 🐾💗 💗🐾To those of you waiting for me to open my books again sadly this isn't likely to happen anytime soon, especially for poodle or bichon crosses who require regular grooming. Out on our walk this morning all three of my pups were engrossed in this area for a very long time. Did you know sniffing is as important to your dogs as physical exercise? I always remind myself that it's their walk not mine and I let myself be guided by them. Some days we are chasing about and other days it's takes 20 minutes to get out of our road. So please don't hurry your dog along, sniffing is a vital part of their make up. As much as we like to take in the views our dogs gain as much from a good old sniff. Depending on their breed their nose is 10,000-100,000 times better than ours. So next time don't tug on that lead let them sniff.

Well I'm done!!! Thank you all for your kind Christmas gifts, chocolates, wine and tips over the last few weeks, totally overwhelmed by the love from you all. Another year over and now 11 days off to sleep and let my body recover 🤣🤪😂ready for the 4th January with yet another busy month booked in.
