Old Dog Haven home FOUND !!!

Our dog team has asked us to share Sarah again. We really want to pull her into our rescue! Your shares could help us find the home she needs. 🙏

PERMANENT Old Dog Haven FOSTER HOME FOUND :
(in W. Washington state or Portland, OR only)

"Sarah" is a sweet old lady, a 52 pound spayed female.
She is probably a lab with something striking looking! She came in stray a
year ago, was reclaimed, and now turned up "stray" again in poor shape. Her
owner hasn't claimed her and we really want to get her into an Old Dog Haven home to get the care she needs.

This girl has untreated flea allergy damage, damage to her ears probably from chronic allergies, a growth on one foot that seems to not be growing, bad teeth of course, and arthritis. She is very dirty but very calm, sweet and sociable -
with a good pep in her step despite no meds for joint pain. Shelter
staff remark on her good behavior for handling; she is not reactive to
other dogs in the kennel. "Very sad looking" is the description.
If you can take her on and put a smile on her face, please get in touch
ASAP.

Starting in October: Wellness & Preventative Care appointments will be available at our Longview Campus on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month (by appointment only).

Our Story

In 2010 just before Christmas, the company I had been working for was hit by the great recession of 2008. I had been an office manger for a very busy legal plan for roughly 5 ½ years. Unfortunately, like so many others at this time I found myself out of work. I never expected to still be looking for work nearly 2 ½ years later.

Through the course of searching for work, I reflected on how I had always dreamed of being self employed - master of my destiny. In between applying for jobs, interviews, and job hunting, I researched business opportunities, hoping I might satisfy my dream of being self-employed. So many businesses required significant investment of $10,000 - $250,000 or more!

As we struggled to make ends meet during this time, my oldest son (9 years old at the time) volunteered to go to some of the neighbors and offer to clean up their dog p**p to try and earn some money. Well, my wife and I “poo pooed” the idea, thinking he would be lucky to make a couple of bucks off each yard. Several months later when searching for business ideas, I came across the business of pet waste removal! Suddenly the idea of cleaning up pet waste did not seem so silly. I could not believe this was a viable business. So after apologizing to my wiser than his years son, we set out to make our dream of owning a business happen.

Nothing happened overnight. It has been a long and slow process to get to where we are today. But, the hard work, the sweat and tears and long hours have paid off. We are proud to service all of south west Washington and in 2019 to open an office in Tyler, TX.
