One of the best stallions iv had the pleasure of working with ππ₯° #gypsyvanner #stallion #breeding #groundwork #throwback
Iv been bad about posting on this page again :/ darn it lol I need to be better with posting haha. Well anyway here is a video of one of the longest releases I have gotten so far while doing my massage work. This is Mr. Hunk. He is one of the most used horses on the property. He has the fun job of teaching people how to ride. Because he is used so often he also had quite a bit of tension in his body. While doing strokes 12&13 along his ribs, he had the biggest release. What you see in this video is only about half of his release, he started before I managed to pull my phone out to record. It almost looks like he turned his head to say thank you to me after he released.π₯° my second module is coming up fast! Can't wait to see what else I get to learn! I can't wait to be fully licensed so I can get out in the real world and help all of these beautiful babies. π΄π keep me in mind for some massage work in the furture. ;)
Please share
Rocky is still searching for his new home. Broke to ride but is a project. Needs and experienced rider. Loves the trails, 13yrs around 14hh. $βοΈthousand obo. Located in Battleground WA. Plz pm me for more details.
Ik it's been a lil bit since I posted, lol iv been a busy girl. Did another homework session with Callie. π₯°π sometimes during a session the horse may not react much at all or not until the very end and it can be a Lil deceiving. But if you look closely and watch, your horse is communicating with you the entire time. ;) Callie waited almost her entire session to release her tension. I was working on her ribs in this video, you could see in her eyes and her lips(lil twitches/movements) that she was enjoying it. I have now taught myself to remain patient with the whole process and listen to the horses, even though it may feel like what I'm doing isn't working at that moment. In the end I always get some kind of release/relief from the horses. The horses are telling me exactly what I need to hear, which is to keep going because it's working and helping them relax/feel better β€οΈ...
This video is a perfect example of that because I was recording and it was already over a minute long. I wasn't sure I was going to get a release from her. Instead of giving up I kept going and sure enough soon she had a good release from all that tension. It's been interesting to see where different horses hold their tension.
My Lil helper loves the horses. β€οΈπ furutre cowboy π€ #tocute #cowboy #horselover #buckskin #gelding
Went and did a second session with Wrangler yesterday. I worked on him for an hr and 45mins. It was a very good session for his as I was able to help him get a good amount of release. One spot in particular was giving a good amount of discomfort. The area where his neck ties into his shoulders were very tense and he wasn't going to let me in, at least not yet. He was communicating to me that it was uncomfortable, so I eased up my pressure and slowly worked through it. I wish I got this on video because you could visually see his demeanor change once I got the release from his shoulder. There was a big release for him as he licked and chewed for a minute straight. After that he was completely relaxed and about to fall asleep. What was cool was that wranglers young rider, her mom and grandma was able to witness the exact moment his body went from tight and tense to loose and relaxed. π₯°π I just wanted to share this story because it is probably the coolest thing to happen during one of my sessions so far. To physically see his body loosen and his demeanor calm down. It feels amazing to be able to help these horses and this only motivates me so much more.
Also worked on star and was able to get a few releases from her as well. So here is a video of one of her releases. She was definitely enjoying herself.
This is why it matters who you surround yourself with. π₯°π I feel so blessed to have my barn family.
Sometimes being a working momma who take her baby with her everywhere isn't the easiest. Sometime I get cut short because he gets upset or starts crying, essentially I worked around him and his needs while he's with me. Iv been working with Johnny for about a month now. His owner couldn't make it to our session this time around, so her husband came out to help. π It ended up being a blessing. Mind you Jayce has major stranger danger and normally cries when people look at him or mess with him... I thought for sure it would be no different with her husband. π€― I was dead wrong. Jayce must have sensed that he was a grandpa as well. They really enjoyed eachothers company and it allowed me to work Johnny for the full hour uninterrupted.β€οΈ instead of being upset and crying, he had jayce smiling and laughing the whole time. Thank God for good people. π
Side note: most of my clients are fine with jayce coming with me. Those who are not comfortable with it or if I'll be riding then jayce stays home with dad.
Spent some time doing ground work with Rocky the other day. π He is pretty much a Rockstar under saddle but still has a lot of nervousness on the ground. So we did a bit of lunging , worked on joining up and giving eye contact instead of turning his butt. After all of that I gave him a quick groom. I worked with his legs and got all 4 hooves cleaned out. Rocky was such a good boy for his lesson and he was much calmer by the end of our session. π₯° I can't help but smile/giggle when he canters. π
lol he reminds me of a Lil bunny rabit hopping along π€£ ππ
So thankful for my barn family. π₯° Did my first homework session yesterday. π Big boy Wrangler has been very sore/stiff in his front right leg(due to being navicular I believe π€). Because of that his body has been having to compensate which creates lots of tension. I worked on him for an hour and a half and was able to get a few releases out of him. Managed to get one on video. He was definitely enjoying himself. He had a lot of tension throughout his neck, ribs, butt and hamstring. This release(video) happened while i was working on his ribs. It will be exciting to see where he's at for our second session. π 1 out of 20 sessions β

So fortunate that I have access to a barn full of horses, definitely makes doing homework a lot easier. π₯° Thank you Robin for allowing me to practice on your babies. Your barn is definitely my home away from home. Blessed to have you in my life.
This is Doro he was one of the horses I had the pleasure to work on.π₯° He had a good amount of tension along his neck where it ties into his shoulder. I spend a Lil extra time working the area until I got a release. I was able to capture some of his releases on video. Feels so good to be able to help these horses feel better and loosen back up. There are many different signs a horse is releasing,.. licking an chewing is just one of them. π
Well since it's Thursday might as well do a throw back. π₯°π About 2 years ago I had the wonderful opportunity to work with and ride this handsome stallion, in preparation for a few show he was in. Icon is one of my favorite horses I have ever worked. At the time of this video he was only 3yrs old. I was a busy girl during the show weekends. I was in charge of feeding, water, exercising, cleaning stalls, talking up, bathing and anything else you can think of lol. Big shout out and thank you to his owners for allowing me the opportunity with him.
With show season upon us, if you need help grooming, bathing or exercising, ext. I would be happy to help. Shoot me a message.
If you wonder why I am always recording videos, thus is why.π₯°π I'll always have these memories to look back on.
Today's a busy day. I have stalls to clean, a horse to exercise and a filly to baby boot camp things with. Stay tuned for updates. ;)
Say hello to Button. π₯° she's about to start baby boot camp. I'm going to be working with her for awhile, so follow along on her journey. Isn't she a cutie! Can any guess her age and breed? I'll give a hint there are 2 breeds
Listen up everyone! Coming soon I will have more availability. So I am looking to add another client or 2 on my schedule. Do you have a horse that needs some exercise or maybe even a tune up? Do you have stalls that need cleaned? A project horse you don't have time for? Or anything else. Shoot me a message with your needs. I am here to help. I have over 20yrs experience with horses and farm animals. Let's get connected.
Video of my handsome boy coming in from the pasture. ππ
I very much appreciate the neat and tidy type ππ
π₯° lol what type is your horse? Do you have type one, type two or both?
Always something to do when you have animals. No snow day for us livestock /horse owners. π€·πΌββοΈβοΈπͺ
Sammy feeling his wild side during his turn out π₯°
Finally had a break through with Sammy today. π₯° Went back to basics and put a regular snaffle bit in his mouth and put together a tie-down to use on him. He was so so good today. It was definitely the best he has done so far. β€οΈ there was a lot less chewing on the bit and of course couldn't toss his head way in the air. He was able to focus on what was asked of him. I got a lot of forward movement out of him today. So proud of him. Can't wait to see him as he progresses in training.
Been awhile since iv posted on here... lol my bad. π
Went and worked with Sammy yesterday, now that he is all healed up. Got him all groomed out, saddled up, and lunged him for a bit. After awhile I decided to hop on and see what he knows. He did very well! He definitely seems a lil green as he was constantly chewing on the bit and not 100% sure what to do when I would steer him. Over all though he did great! Never acted bad or anything. He's got a good head on him and he's very willing to learn
Got in a few laps around the arena before rewarding him by letting him finish his lesson. π₯° excited to continue to work with this boy and improve his training. Stay tuned for his updates! I'll be working with him twice a week and I'm pretty sure he is going to be looking for his forever home sometime soon. ;)
