Having another confidence building clinic August 24th!

Mystic Meadows is is hosting our very first confidence and obstical clinic with local Maryland trainer Jimmy Wagner with Jimmy Wagner horsemenship llc.

Aug 24th private session format. Lessons start at 8 end at 4 with a lunch break at 12. $130 per horse and rider $40 to audit. I had the pleasure of seeing Jimmy work his horse at the PA horse expo this year and see his skills first hand.

It's not everyday that Deanna Weber gets up on a horse especially one that only has about 3 weeks of ride time. Monty has been a great gelding to work with and I know Deanna has been drooling over him so after his ride with me today I asked Deanna who is also kind of a timid ride if she wanted to do his cool down. She was hesitant at first but I new that he would be perfect to help her confidence. Thank you so much to Devon Griffin and her mom Dana for letting us have the opportunity to start this special boy!

Bo told us exactly how he felt about his chiropractic, acupuncture, and laser therapy treatment with Dr. Schmitt. She is very compassionate and knowledgeable and loves to educate. Bo gives Dr. Schmitt a two hooves up review!

Good morning.
My name is Jimmy Wagner and me and my other half Deanna Weber run Jimmy Wagner Horsemenship. LLC. I'm making this post today not to hurt feelings but as I watched as much footage for the hearings of the bill we call SB452 it saddens me to look around the rooms and to listen to all the witnesses I can find and not one person put input as to how this bill would effect our equine community. Yes I know that last Monday we were able to write in our thoughts. I did my best to and I'm sorry I'm not the best when it comes to writing and making sense on pen and paper. But please let me share with you what I do to try to do my best everyday at and that's to help the everyday rich or lower class person understand and help there horses. Now this is something I can't do everyday behind a key board as it would just confuse everyone but I do my best. But the first conclusion I tend to tell everyone when the message us asking for help with there equine partner is I tell them we need to set up a meeting for us and your horse because (words on a key board only go so far). And that's where my point is. All the thoughts we wrote in on Monday will only go so far and face it. They don't have to read them. I understand that there are valid points in this bill that surround places like bowling alleys, trampoline parks and movie theaters etc. But if we can't classify that the horse industry is it's own separate categorie then the horse industry will take a huge hit. Most of the time I pull up to people's farms to evaluate there horse typically they always say it's that horses last chance. On Oct 1st 2024 this bill the way it is, is going to be a lot of horses lasts chances we need to take care of this asap Horses are not trampoline or bowling equipment. They have there own minds and feelings about things. Yes we as horse people can mitigate risks as much as we can but that doesn't mean my good horse Bo isn't going to kick at me and possibly connect if I'm checking him out for pain because that's how they communicate a lot of times. We need to speak up about this bill or a lot of you favorite horse camps will close, your favorite trainers will suffer and honestly alot of horses that were adopted from places like Days End Farm Horse Rescue will be relinquished back to the rescues and most of these rescues are full as it is. We need to address this now and in person.

April 13th we are at the Horse expo at frying pan park ( doing demonstrations)

April 20th we are at palmervale farm in Montgomery County giving a private one on one clinic.

April 27th is our basic horsemanship clinic at our farm in upper marlboro!

This gelding I think this picture pretty much explains how fun our relationship has turned out to be. His name is Ciqala and his owner Detail-Oriented In-Gettysburg absolutely loves him! At the beginning he was not just a wild mustang he was a mustang that had a rough go at it in the beginning with people and had extra baggage especially with people on his back. I can remember me first attempts to get on him even after all the prep work he would try but eventually his natural mustang instincts would kick in and he would buck turn and kick out at me. But as time has gone by we have not just been able to turn his confidence around but prove that we are not just here to try to ride him but to be his friend. And since then his confidence on the ground as we as in the saddle has sky rocketed. We still have work to be done but to say he's made a big turnaround is a complete understatement. And we are extremely proud of him. This is proof that time and consistency are a horsemans best tools.

This clinic will be great for those wanting to learn simple problem solving skills, timing, and a better understanding and bond with their horse. We will go over the concept of pressure and release and the importance of timing your pressure and release. Then we will apply this principle into situations like "why my horse won't stand still for mounting", "why won't my horse back off the trailer" and "why won't my horse stand for the farrier" etc. At the end of the day, we want to make sure that the horse wants to build a safe and willing partnership.

Cost is 125$

There will be 2 class one from 10 am to 12 pm and one from 2pm to 4pm

Day 3 at the Horse World Expo! Come visit us at booth 227.
At 4pm me and Bo are in the roundpen we will be talking about " The start of Advanced body Control"

Then at 5:00 we will be doing our performance in equitainment called "The best 1.75$ I've ever spent"
