A Happy Forest Feral Food Fundraiser

Many of us were saddened to learn of the passing Calvin. His rescue and subsequent adoption was one of those stories that purrrfectly matched the spirit of TinyKittens’ mission.

To honour him, his amazing Meowmy, and TK we invite you to donate towards the cost of a bag of crunchies for the Happy Forest ferals.

Officer Vigil repeatedly told this interested applicant that we do not have a feline unit, but she refused to listen, hopped in the car and is now standing on the computer. 🙄😹

Chas would like to send power of the paw to all the hard working veterinary professionals out there, including Mountain View Veterinary Hospital , who took care of him as a baby. And who continues to support Tinykittens and his cousins in the Happy Forest, as well as Feline Medical Clinic who takes care of our clowder now.

Chas was in for a dental today, because Happy Forest teeth (spoilers: teeth are still healthy and 0 pulled, but gingivitis needed to be addressed to keep it that way). Dr. Burhenn was concerned because she heard a bit of a heart murmur during pre-op, but fortunately, it was only showing at first when he was still anxious about the trip. She calmly explained all the possible repurrcussions to a barely awake Meowmy. Since we have been taking our furry family members to FMC for at least 15 years, and we believe Dr. B when she says she treats all the kitties as if they were her own while they are there, we decided to trust her experience and knowledge and went ahead with the procedure.

He came through it like a champ and spent the rest of the day charming the staff while coming up from the anesthesia. At the end of the day, Meowmy had to wait a few minutes to pick him up because he needed to provide some support cuddles to the staff, who had just been taking care of a kitty who unexpectedly crossed the rainbow bridge, due to heart failure, which is what they had worried about for Chas.

The last few years have been as difficult for those who work in veterinary medicine as for those in human medicine. They are also overworked, understaffed, and under-appreciated. FMC has been transparent about taking care of their staff's mental and physical health, in addition to their patients'.

We just wanted to say thank you. 😽😽
