Signed copies of Bob Tales are here at the clinic and yes, that is our own Dr Mac, a character in the book! The illustrations are amazing with delightful characters. A portion of the signed copies that we sell at the clinic will benefit SOAPS so come get one for $26. It’s a beautiful hard copy book….signed by the author, Susan Sullivan, a long time and much loved client. Also available on Amazon but you will pay shipping and it won’t have her autograph.
Max, the South African Boerbel is one of our most loved patients and he came in yesterday to be neutered. Due to his size we had to do things a little different to accommodate his 170 pound self. As a team for your animals we do what we can to make things go as smoothly as possible for them and us.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of our wonderful clients and patients! We hope you all have a blessed and wonderful day today with your families and fur babies!
We will see everyone Friday for normal business hours!

Odie was found and safely returned to his owners!
Good morning clients!
One of our clients babies has gone missing, he is a super sweet English bulldog by the name of Odie. He lives out in the Johnson Corner/Marvin Church area. If you see him or know of anyone who might have him please let the office know or contact his owners who have their name and contact information in the picture.
Help us get this baby home! His family missed him!
Good morning clients!
The Vidalia Animal Shelter is in need of dry kibble for the sweet babies they house. If you would like to donate a bag of food to the shelter you can bring it by the clinic and we will make sure they get it, or you can take it to the shelter directly; They are open to the public Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
If you plan on bring dry food to the office for the Vidalia Animal Shelter, please let us know that it is for the shelter when you bring it so we know where to put it.
We thank you for the support as does the Vidalia Animal Shelter and the sweet dogs that will benefit the most from your donations.
Dr. Mac is in a children’s book written by Susan Sullivan (who we miss terribly as she has moved away) and we will have copies for sale at the clinic. A percentage of sales will go to SOAPS-Susan’s idea and we love it! It’s a story about a bob-tailed cat named “Bob”. We are just thrilled! Stay tuned for details……
Without vet techs your pets wouldn’t get the love and care they deserve with every visit to our clinic. This week is National Vet Tech week; it was first celebrated in 1993, and it takes place in the third week of October each year. Join us this week in celebrating the wonderful vet techs of Altamaha Animal Clinic who ensure that your pet is safe and happy with each visit they make to see us.
We are screaming happy birthday to the best veterinarian we know! We couldn't ask for a better boss or veterinarian to work for or to take care of our babies! We love you and hope you have the best birthday ever!
Dr. Mac, admiring his new grandson, Mac.
McArthur Clay Murray 9 lbs 4.5 oz
Dr. McArthur and the staff at Altamaha Animal Clinic will always remember those we lost on 9/11/2001. It was a tragic day for all of the United States, human and animal. We salute the first responders who ran into danger while everyone else was running away from it. We also salute the search and rescue dogs that willingly went with their handlers into the rubble at Ground Zero to help search for the survivors or non survivors that were left once it was safe enough to do so.
Happy Grandparents Day to Dr. Mc! Being a grandparent is “right up there” with being a veterinarian.
Illustrator unknown to me. Would happily credit if I could. Too funny! (Might be from “allthefloof”)
Chloe, the 9 week old sphynx kitten came in today for her first visit. She was the sweetest thing and everyone loved her!
