🚨 🚨 🐞 Ticks are out in full force! 🐞 🚨 🚨
EVERYDAY for the last 2 weeks we have removed ticks from pets that have come into the clinic! We are also getting lots of phone calls from people about finding ticks on their pets at home. We had a record number of dogs positive for Lyme Disease in the last year. Please make sure to start your Flea and Tick Prevention TODAY!

Today our local animal shelter took in 10 dogs on rescue that will require a lot of care in the next several weeks. This is in addition to the thirty dogs they already had in house and the many many cats. The animal shelter needs volunteers to help clean and care for the animals more than ever. Please, if you have any time to spare to walk dogs, scoop litter boxes, or clean cages NOW IS THE TIME to commit to help.

🐞 🐜 Fleas have been pretty quiet up to this point so far this year. BUT With the heat and humidity on the rise, we have seen fleas on untreated pets daily for the past week! Please make sure you treat your pets! Pets should be treated through October to ensure you get completely through the season. 🐜 🐞

This is Athena (lighter color) and Xena (darker color). These girls are 3 months old, have been completely vet checked and vaccinated to this point and are looking for new homes! These pups are Boxer/ Shepherd/ Terrier mixes. Athena and Xena need to go to good homes that are willing to commit to finishing their vaccine series and having them spayed when they are old enough. We usually have several cat carriers here at the clinic to loan out in case someone needs one. We now have only 2 cat carriers and this summer we had 8. If you have one of our carriers and could return it that would be greatly appreciated. “Wabash Vet Hospital” is written on all of them. Thank you!
