It’s a hot one today! What’s everyone doing to stay cool out there? 🥵

Remember, surfaces can quickly heat up as temperatures rise and so does the risk of paw burns. At just 85 degrees, pavement temps can reach upwards of 130 degrees!! 🔥🐾

Protect your pet’s toes by:
1. testing the pavement with your hand-if it’s too hot for you to hold it there for SEVEN SECONDS comfortably it’s too hot for them!
2. Opt for walks during cooler hours (early morning or late evenings) and stick to grassy areas when possible.

Let’s keep those paws cool and happy 🐾💚

Cuteness overload! Taffy came in to have her teeth assessed by one of our veterinarians. 🦷🐾

Did you know that dental care is the cornerstone of a dogs overall health and can add 3-5 years to your furry friend’s lifespan? According to the American Veterinary Dental College, it’s estimated that the majority of dogs show signs of canine periodontal disease by just 3 years old.

Brushing your dog’s teeth might sound silly, but it’s an excellent way to maintain your pets dental hygiene along with regular cleanings.

⁣Starting the week strong with a 12 puppy c-section! 💚⠀

All hands were on deck today while Dr. Townsend removed each puppy one-by-one while the amazing Techs, Leann, Trina, Kim and Linnea worked to stimulate breathing, clear mucus from the airways and tie off umbilical cords. Thanks for doing such a great job! 👏 🐾 💚⠀

Meet our newest member to the CWAH team, Waldo! 🐈‍⬛🏥 he came in a couple months ago to receive medical care and decided he didn’t want to leave. He takes his clinic duties very seriously. You can usually find him greeting clients, laying on charts, strolling the clinic or snoozing in his bed behind the desk. He is pure joy and we love that he is here! 💚
