RatsNScraps is going on a temporary hiatus from breeding and selling. My family and I are going through some major life changes that could take several months to adjust to. Thank you for your support and we look forward to coming back as soon as possible!

Over the next few days/weeks I will be rebranding the Rattery.

I am a very crafty person. I like to crochet, sew, draw, and leather work. With my many crafts and hobbies, I had foolishly tried to run basically 3 small businesses. I thought I had to give some up, but really I just needed to condense them all into one.

My main focus is my leather projects. Second being the Rattery and breeding. The rest are just as I feel like doing them.
I will be working on making these changes throughout all my social medias and hopefully being more active as I have less to manage now.

Hey ya'lll! I have gotten several messages since the Expo, asking various things. I'll try to answer as many as I can real quick :3

When is our next vending event?
It will be March 2023. A date hasn't been provided yet, but I'll keep you updated as I learn more. We have been invited to a couple other Expos, however we do not have the means to attend them this coming year.

I can't find your Etsy?
Sigh... this is a common problem for some reason when people try to find my Etsy page. I am trying to fix that. At the same time, I don't have anything posted on that Etsy page for multiple reasons. So, instead, I can start sharing here on my page if ya'll would like? Or send pictures of stock upon request.

When is your next litter due?
At this time it is undecided. I like to thoroughly plan my litters and I like to be very involved with their raising. Because of this, I haven't been able to breed a litter due to my mental health. I refuse to breed a litter I cannot adequately handle and care for. I also will not breed a litter if I am not prepared to house all of the babies, in case they can't find good homes.

Albino male and hooded female almost ready for new homes! They are about 3 weeks old and can find their furever home in another 3-4 weeks. They have been handled everyday since 4 days old and have a wonderful Mom and Dad. If interested, please PM!

Bad picture I know. But Momma is a little stressed with how small of a littwr she had. Only three babies. But they all seem heathy and so does Momma. Can't wait to see coat colors come through!

*edit: he has a vet appt and his tummy isnt any larger but not smaller either

So my little Nicodemus who Ive been fawning over may be really sick. His stomach is bloated and if it's what I think it is... there is no cure or treatment and it is fatal.
I know it's not on everyone's prayer list to pray for a rat... but if ya have the time for a little prayer that I am wrong , it couldn't hurt.

I was waiting until Marbles gave birth to add to my rat mischief, but stopped by a pet store today and met this little guy. He is too young to be away from his Momma yet and it broke my heart to see him sitting in a feeder cage. After talking to my husband, he was kind enough to let me rescue him. His name is Nicodemus. Only 4 weeks old (rats should be with mom for 6-8 weeks). So I will be hand feeding him a couple times a day.

Im so thankful for my husband who understands my bleeding heart but also that I am currently blessed enough to be able to take on and handle such a small baby.

Starting multivitamins and a few other helpful vitamins for the ratties.
All rats, including weaned babies will be on these vitamins along with the one in their water. They will also be fed Oxbow Adult Rat food or Young Rat and Mice depending on age, while being supplemented with a homemade mixture and fresh veggies every few days.
I want to make sure my babies and their babies are as absolutely healthy as possible for me and their future homes. Any questions, feel free to message me! :3
