Please help this baby girl! Any amount will help! She really needs it!

Hazel needs your help! The good news is they believe they can repair the fracture and not amputate. Cost of the surgery is estimated to be $5,500.00, she is having surgery tomorrow. We already have a donation of $500.00 (thank you Cory) but need to raise $5,000.00. Every dollar counts, no amount is too small. Donations are tax deductible and can be made via PayPal to [email protected], checks should be made payable to Shih Tzu Rescue of Central WI and mailed to 424 Moreland Ave, Schofield, WI 54476. I will post updates as we have more information. Thank you so much for your help!

Lebeau is brother to Merlot. He also just turned 6 months old, is neutered and current on all vacc's. Please share this! Personally, I would love to see them go together but they do not have to. Spread the word and help Lebeau and his brother find homes! He is a love bug, just like Merlot!

Merlot is adorable! He is available for adoption and just turned 6 months old! He is neutered and current on all vacc's. If you know of anyone who is looking for a loving pal, contact the rescue this is shared from, before I adopt him and his brother! Please share!

Merlot went to the vet today. He weighs 8 pounds, he has ear infections in both ears which we are treating. Other than that he has no medical issues. He will be neutered April 11th and ready for adoption at the end of April.

Alright, everyone! Announcement time! First of all, unfortunately, 2023 will bring a price increase. I'm sure everyone understands why... However, there is something exciting happening in the Salon! I have been creating hand made Soap, Lotion and Body Butter for humans. These items will be available for you to try out, starting in 2023! I have added a link to the page for your convenience. I will be posting the new prices after Christmas when I am on vacation and have time. I hope everyone enjoys this Holiday Season! The weather may not be the best but there is always something to be thankful for and as for me, I am always thankful for every single one of you amazing clients!

I have 2 announcements to make. The first is that Ryan, whom you all know, will be joining the salon in 2022. He is a certified bath brusher, and I will be training him in the art of Pet Styling. Therefore, we will be accepting a limited number of new clients for him, as long as you understand that he is not as fast as I am, and he will need more time. I, of course, will be assisting with the finishing to ensure that all dogs leave the salon looking their best, according to the standards I expect.
The 2nd is a little harder. During 2021, especially in November and December, the salon saw a record amount of no call/no shows. While I have never agreed with charging for missed appointments, this will change starting in 2022. You all know me well enough by now, and I'm sure you also know that I am very understanding for a canceled appointment during bad weather or an emergency. However, due to the no call/no show increase, you will now be required to pay for the missed groom if you do not notify me, as well as the next groom at drop-off. If you cannot or do not wish to do so, you have 2 options. You can either not stand me up or you can find a new groomer. I understand that with the rising cost of inflation, times are tough. My costs have risen significantly also, yet I have done what is necessary in order to prevent a price increase for all of my clients.
I appreciate each and every one of you amazing people! I would be nothing without you! I look forward to another wonderful year with your babies! Thank you, everyone!

The Holiday Season is here, once again! We will continue drop off and pick up, outdoors... This is to ensure the health and safety of all our clients! Please know that I am returning calls as quickly as I can and that I am doing my best to get as many of you in for the Holidays! As always, stay safe, everyone!

05/14/2020

Even though the safer at home order has been lifted, we will continue to do drop off and pick up outside. This is for everyone's safety. Thank you for your understanding and stay safe!

04/28/2020

I just wanted to touch base with everyone... I have been bombarded with phone calls, text messages and Facebook messages. I understand that everyone wants to get in right away. In order to continue following the social distancing guidelines, please understand that I need to take precautions. This means I am only able to groom so many dogs a day, leaving enough time in-between pick-up and drop-off's, to ensure there is no human contact outside the salon. I understand that your babies need to get in asap and I assure you that I am going to try and schedule everyone in a timely fashion! I ask for your patience and understanding during this time, especially once I am back to grooming. I cannot call everyone tomorrow and once I get back to work, the calls will be fewer but I will do the best I can to ensure I am able to reach everyone by the end of next week. Thank you for your patience and understanding! The first battle is over... your babies will be clean and looking stylish very soon! Take care, everyone and stay safe!

Governor Evers just signed order #34, stating I can groom again starting April 29th. No person will be allowed in the salon and all pick up/drop off will be outside. I will be in contact with clients concerning this new order. Pick up and drop off times will be exact to prevent human interaction between clients. This means, you cannot be late!

04/16/2020

It pains me to make this post but due to the Governor extending the safe at home order, The salon will be closed until May 26th and be re-opening on May 26th. I will be contacting everyone next week to reschedule your appointments once again. Thank you for understanding! Please, stay healthy and safe!

03/24/2020

As per Evers order, the Salon will be closed until April 24th and be re-opening April 25th. This may change depending on what happens with COVID-19. If you have an appt. during our down time, I will be contacting you. Feel free to message me if you like. Stay safe, everyone!

We have offered to help... Please share to help! Fosters homes needed...

UPDATE: Thank you for the enormous response to our foster request to help the pups at the St Landry shelter. Our volunteers were able to pull 11 dogs and place in permanent foster homes. We are currently working with these fosters to get the dogs settled, along with our personal dogs before the storm. We apologize for not responding individually to each of you but it has been a long day. THANK YOU ALL!!

A few of our volunteers are heading out there this afternoon to grab some dogs from this shelter so they don’t get put down, if you can foster anything at all! Please message us, whatever doesn’t get pulled by tomorrow is getting euthanized, so they don’t drown when it floods them.

PLEASE PLEASE SHARE.

Seniors deserve loving homes too! Someone please consider adopting this baby!

10 year old Shadow is looking forward to a brighter future and has her eyes on someone like Y-O-U! The remainder of her adoption fee was sponsored in full by someone special today, which means she will be able to go free to a qualified home. This golden girl deserves to have the rest of her days, be the best of her days ♡

Well, summer is officially here... Many of you have been asking about flea & tick preventative. I am not a fan of spot-on's but in most cases it does work. Unsafe products are: Flea & tick collars as well as oral medications. I have had dogs come in with the collars who are covered in fleas. Ive found ticks under these collars. The oral is extremely dangerous and can cause severe seizures in 20% of pets, and they last for the remainder of their lives. So... What to use. In all honesty, it is your choice as to what works best for you but I use a citronella spray and a peppermint spray. These 2 scents are hated by flea and ticks. Now, does this mean they will never have a flea or a tick on them? No. It is not 100% effective, but neither are the alternatives. You all know me well enough to know that I am an all natural type of lady so the spray is all I use. I only spray them when we are going to venture out of the yard. And the best part? They smell great!!! Have a great summer everyone! Keep those fur babies safe and cool! I will post more photos when I can... Ive been super busy lately! Tis the season for dirty puppies!

I came on to Facebook just a few minuets ago and saw that a client who I have know for more than 15 years, passed away. Just as anyone out there, you become attached to the people who you work with, or in my case, work for. I very rarely accept friend requests from clients but Mary and I were friends. She was an author, which, many of you know, I also am. She was one of the sweetest people I have had the privilege to know. She was an amazing person who believed in helping animals and not just dogs and cats. I always have trouble when I loos a client or their pets and mourning is a part of that, but I normally do not post about it. Yet, this woman touched me in a way that I cannot explain. If you knew her, visit her page and read her book, if you haven't already. Spread the word that she was trying to spread. Education is the key and in most cases, you have to be the one who goes out there and discovers it. Share your knowledge and strength with others. I know she would like that. I will miss you, Mary Wirz. You will always be in my heart.
