Sanders Cattle Company is family owned and operated by father and son Robert and Brant Sanders. Our interest in Red polls started many years ago when Robert Sr. and Robert (Bob) Sanders Jr. purchased some commercial cows from a neighbor. While loading the cows they accidentally loaded a registered Red Poll cow that originally wasn't supposed t

o be sold, because they had her on the trailer they talked the neighbor into selling her. Some months after purchasing the Red Poll cow she had a calf. Shortly after the cow calved they began to realize that the Red Poll cow was out performing the other commercial cows in the heard. She maintained consistent body weight while producing ample amount of milk to grow a big calve. Not only did she produce the best calve, but she bred back the quickest. After this experimental coincidence the Sanders Family has been sold on Red Polls ever since! Our goal is to raise Red Polls with the same attributes that very first Red Poll cow had.
