In 2012 I bought Lilly and 5 other chicks home. Lilly was really sick and needed special attention. Since then she bonded with me and my family and not the other chickens. So in the house she lived, wowing all the people, who got to met this awesome, little chicken. She is a loving member of our family. Her oviduct has failed and eggs don't travel right inside her. Instead they rupture and make he
r very sick. So, to keep her healthy and strong she goes to the vet to get an hormonal implant. This temporary stops ovulation, keeping her healthy. She gets to live life. She is part of a small inside flock now, with Pip the searma rooster and Sunny another implanted hen, living life on a 3 acre farm at Cherry Run Roost a microsanctuary for chickens. What started as a fun account on Instagram, of Lilly the chicken, who lives in the house, turned out to become pretty big, with over 800 followers and counting! Lilly hopes to change how the world views chickens. She wants everyone to see the silly, loving, beautiful birds that they are. Follow along to see her silly antics as she lives life as a loved house chicken. Also, check out where she lives at Cherry Run Roost a microsanctuary for chickens. Lilly's done so much for me that I wanted to give back to her and the others of her kind. So we now help unwanted chickens!
