Did you know that if you sign up for our volunteer program ,we will pay to get your pet fixed?

12 Pets - 6 cats & 6 dogs have already completed the program!

The volunteer program was created by a TASA member and has been running since October of last year. 12 Pets have already been fixed during October 2023 - June 2024 ! TASA has paid an estimated $4,300 towards this program - which includes the spay/nueter & a rabies vaccination.

*You must complete a certain number of volunteer hours and pay a small deposit towards the bill, in order to be eligible.

****WE'RE FULL ADOPTION EVENT!****

Once again, we are bursting at the seams with animals and have no room for any more. To try and boost our adoption numbers, we are having a special for the month of August. Starting August 6th, all altered animal's adoption fees are $25 and all unaltered animals have their adoption fee waived (A $40 spay / neuter deposit is still required, the adopter will be required to get the animal altered.) This honey bee needs a hive to call his own! He is a sweet neutered older mix. He does great with other dogs, puppies, cats, kittens & of course - people! He is well mannered and very intelligent. Let’s find this boy a great home!

Montana has been a resident at Trinity County Animal Shelter for 1 year now. No pet deserve to live their life behind bars, waiting for their family. Please like & share so we can find her a home!

Shelter Pet Spotlight: MONTANA

Montana has been a shelter resident since May of 2023. Montana is a spayed female husky mix. She is energetic and vocal with a love for water. She does well with other dogs and loves to make new friends. Montana identifies as a dog person, we recommend a home without cats.

We still have a few more days of JUNE which is National Adopt A Cat Month! Our Cat Room is crazy with kittens! Come visit and adopt 1 or 2 … or maybe 3 ! 🐾 🐱

Did you know that if you adopt from Trinity County Animal Shelter microchipping is included ? Microchipping is a great resource which helps pets reunite with their family. ❤️

We are gearing up for the large influx of large animals we are sure to see July 5th. Please make sure we can get your pet back home to you! Fireworks are scary enough to pets without them ending up in the shelter. We also have a few personalized tags left we can give out.

The shelter is open 11am-5pm Monday- Friday, and 1-5pm Saturday- Sunday for you to get your pet microchipped!

Together we can conquer this problem and make life safer for our precious animals.TASA meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at The Trinity PUD office on Ponderosa Lane in Weaverville at 5:30 pm. Trinity Animal Shelter Auxiliary -TASA would like to thank our amazing community for the overwhelming support we received for our bake sale on Feb. 11th. We especially want to thank those who contributed baked goods as well as those who's donations helped us raise $1981. for our precious animals. Bless you all!

Anna is a female spay German Shepherd mix. She has lots of energy and should not go to a home with cats. She is available at the shelter. Call 623-1370 for more information.
