Nala x Dexter litter just finished eating, an are pretty active walking almost 4 weeks, and getting chuncky😊 You can see there's a little rot in the bunch, she's got as much energy as the others.😊

7 healthy puppies just finished eating breakfast...Mush & momma milk. Just over 4 weeks. There are walking, running and biting and gee there are always hungry😊

Hello All As of today updates on our recent Lola x Niklaus litter. All 7 puppies are doing well, drinking momma milk and pooping. From the first day of birth til now we can see rapid weight increase on all. Will start weighting them. But most importantly, we can see the puppies eyes are open. Such excitement. They are still on a 2-hour feeding regiment. As for colors which I'm not an expert on, but I can say there Chocolate Tri, Blue Fawn and standards. I will post new video and pictures. Afterwards we will be taking deposits. Pricing we do not discuss in the group, for further details on price "Only" via PM's.

Hi All I thought this post below, is prudent information. This post is quite long, but I would appreciate if you read this post from start to finish. This was written by an English bulldog breeder, Conni Oldham Sands who happens to be a very good friend and is also my mentor. She has taught me everything about breeding English Bulldogs. The reasons my litters look healthy, is because of what Conni taught me. Without further adieu here's Conni.

Ok .. so since some of u .. most of you.. are not privy to what is happening in the bulldog world through breeder and whelping groups .. i just wanna share something

Its been a rough week .. 3 people i associate directly with have lost their mommas and one all the pups too ( 10 of them ).

I dont begrudge anyone for breeding .. that would make me a hypocrite right ?

But for those of you that think you want to .. let me be honest.

These dogs are man made start to finish. These are not the breed that get accidentally hooked up in the back yard.. have them naturally..and raise their babies ... each time we breed its a science project .. we blood test to tell us when to breed .. when to c section.. .momma then becomes a milk machine .. if u are lucky.. you will be raising those babies . This is why when u look at pups on FB.. and some look small and skinny instead of robust and chunky.. we as breeders know your work ethic and knowledge by the pups you put out.

But then there is a whole other side .

They sometimes have large litters .. sometimes they are not blood tested for due dates after the breeding .. they retain "water".. and drop dead randomly with a belly full of babies. No way to sugar coat that... Once that bulldogs heart stops beating ..it IS game over..

Female 1 had babies ..and died 2 days after the c section. Very prominent knowledgeable breeder and she missed it.

Female 2 .. the blood test showed she was almost out of ovulation .. she was bred and took with 8 pups.. no way to tell when ovualtion was to set a c section properly.. so they had to wait til she went into labor so that pups werent taken too soon. She started vomiting.. rushed to the emergemcy vet.. stopped breathing as they walked in the door .. thus.. the pups i have fostering now. That breeder is very good breeder.. but cannot tube feed.. which is why have them.

Oh did i mention that bulldog babies sometimes cannot suck swallow and breath all at the same time ..therefore can / will aspirate when bottle fed ...

Female 3 .. new breeder.. using a non bulldog vet.. went 2 times last week saying she is so big and uncomfortable.. wont eat.. each time they sent her home saying the dog was fine .. she died at home .. rushed to the vet..and had to argue with them about saving the pups.. meanwhile all 10 were lost.

When this taboo subject was posted in the group.. it was amazing to see how many prominent and new breeders alike have lost their mommas this way. Its not talked about.. and therefore not everyone is educated. Do u know that sometimes we will have to do a " reduction ".. meaning go in take pups out to save mom ?

Meanwhile..on the male side .. some prominent studs have been lost this week over this heat ..

Having said all this ..

If u decide to breed .. please find a mentor.. one that is very knowledgeable..and produces nice healthy pups to prove they know what they are doing .. because trust me ..in this bulldog world everyone claims to be an expert

As a bulldog owner.. find a bulldog vet .. a good one .. ask your breeder.. if you arent local to your breeder..post and ask in your bulldog groups ..those breeders will tell u .. they are worth their weight in gold. You would not buy a 50k new vehicle and have the guy down the street who is good mechanic .. so he says ..to work on it... drive the extra miles just like u would pay the extra dollars to to take it to the dealership.

Bulldogs dont swim..they dont regulate their heat or cold ..they are inside dogs .. Period ! ..

So before you breed .. before you buy a bulldog .. please please educate yourself .

I am always here to help any and all of you.. i do not know all the answers .. i learn every day...and with every new litter .. but i do know where to find the answers ..thats half the battle .

Did you know English bulldogs are man-made from start to finish? After the C-section the litter must feed from there mom's milk. The first 2 weeks are critical weeks to determine the life of your puppy. These pups are counting on the breeder to focus in making sure each puppy is drinking there mom's milk every, 2-hours a pup must feed. After the puppies have fed, the breeders must make each puppy relieve themselves, because if they don't it can be life threatening. So ask yourself are you able to wakeup every 2-hours to feed?

Is getting close to that time for puppies. This Monday, July 26th the C-section will be preformed at Dr. Lucero. Lola is getting anxious and walking is a bit strenuous. Lola wants this over. But we are so excited to see the outcome of Lola and Gayle Thompson stud Niklaus litter. This litter is going to be amazing.

Nala will be a year this August and at 34lbs, she will be compact and definitely a looker. In addition to an impressive line of pedigree. She is suddle and very affectionate towards everyone. I am so please to have her in our program, with the right stud Nala is going to have amazing litters.

This is Rocky a male Black Tri 5 months later! Lola x Saga litter past December 2020. Kevin and his lovely spouse drove from Mrtyle Beach to pickup Rocky.. Since then he's gotten bigger about 40 lbs. They are spoiling Rocky. Appreciate the new owners providing me with their progress.
