How it all began....
My daughter started showing dogs in the 90’s in obedience, handling and agility. She worked for professional handlers and competed at Westminster dog show and the Eukanuba Classic for junior showmanship. Shortly after, her love for agility blossomed, becoming the youngest agility trial chairman in the AKC organization. It was through my daughter, that I became immersed in the sport, she said if you are going to be at the shows with me all day, you might as well have a dog to show. From there I started agility with my corgi which led to me teaching obedience and agility classes which led to me becoming an AKC agility judge. My experience as a judge helps me stay current with the criteria for the agility courses while having the opportunity to see what works and what doesn’t work for different breeds and handlers. I have learned so much being an agility judge for the last ten years and I love sharing that knowledge with my students.
