This weekend, our medical team took a field trip to The Soup Kitchen of Boynton Beach to provide free wellness exams, vaccinations, heartworm testing, and parasite prevention to pets & families in need.

⛈️ When it storms, we bring shelter dogs into staff offices for some extra love 💕

This morning, Millie joined our volunteer manager, Lua, and snuggled up under her desk until the storm passed. What a brave girl!

April needs a family! 💕

Sweet April was surrendered through no fault of her own or her family's - sometimes life just gets tough. But this resilient girl has so much love to give.

April is a 4-year-old house hippo who enjoys the finer things in life: cozy blankets, fresh air, squirrel watching, and CUDDLES! 🤗

I'm going HOME! 🎉🎉🎉

Before Norman became a Peggy Adams pup, he spent over 700 days at Miami Dade Animal Services waiting for someone to give him a chance. Last summer, MDAS was facing a capacity crisis, and Norman needed out!

We brought him to Peggy Adams in hopes of a speedy adoption, but again, he waited day after day in his kennel. Black dogs and pitbulls are two of the most overlooked groups in shelters, so the odds were stacked against sweet Norman💔

But we couldn't give up! Thankfully, an awesome foster stepped up, and Norman became a "Couch Surfer" - chillin' and relaxin' in a real home instead of his kennel while he waited for a family.

We don't know what took him so long, but maybe it was fate that Norman was waiting for this amazing family. After almost 1000 days in the shelter system, Norman is home! Happy Tails, Norman! 🎉

This year's Spring Break Camp was full of heartwarming moments for our campers and staff.

Our campers had an unforgettable time stepping into the role of Jr. Animal Care Interns. They made tasty treats for our shelter animals, learned dog training skills, socialized cats, created eye-catching animal-themed art, and made new friends. Every day was filled with fun and learning!

Now, it’s your child’s turn!

Our exciting Summer Rescue Camp is designed for kids ages 8-14 and promises hands-on activities, meet-and-greets with staff and animals, arts & crafts, games, and more! Registration is open now and costs $295 per participant.

These babies were just 5 days old when they arrived at Peggy Adams. Kittens their age can't survive alone in the shelter overnight, so they needed a foster family - and fast. Thankfully, foster superhero Ann K. stepped up to take them home! 🏡 Thanks, Ann! 🎉

FRENCH BULLDOG for adoption!🗼

Rubble has just arrived from Paris! A purebred Frenchie at Peggy Adams!

Some of you may be skeptical about how a 65 lb. dog could be a Frenchie.
Well, read it and weep, folks! 🫵😆

We have the photos to prove that Rubble is French to the bone. This type of evidence is impossible to fabricate. Just look at Rubble in his beret, holding a baguette, with a lovely view of the Eiffel Tower. Très chic! It doesn't get more French than that! 🥖

Rubble’s hobbies include:
🎨Painting
🍰Sampling local patisserie
🤔Wallowing in existential dread

After local bakeries cut him off (whatever happened to let them eat cake?), Rubble left his beloved homeland and is now searching for a home right here in West Palm Beach!

As a Dolly’s Dream Dog, Rubble’s adoption fee has been PAID, and he’ll take home a package of goodies to start his life in America on the right paw🐾

Our staff and volunteers had a great time connecting with the community at Palm Beach Pride in Lake Worth!

We met so many adorable pets (many of them adopted from Peggy Adams) and answered lots of questions about fostering, volunteering, adopting, and spay/neuter services!

We're here to serve our community, and that includes not just pets but also the people who love them! Happy Pride!

We're going to fix 500 cats on Spay Day, April 26, but we need your help! We're looking for volunteers to assist clients & cats during check-in and pick-up.

✅ Must be age 16 or over
👍 No prior volunteer experience required
📅 Available Friday 4/25 or Saturday 4/26
📝 Assist clients with check-in & pick-up (training provided)
🐱 Participate in a monumental life-saving effort
💗 Students can earn service hours by volunteering
