Darbster Foundation The mission of the Darbster Foundation is to reduce the number of adoptable cats and dogs being euthanized in the Southern United States.

We do through partnering with animals shelters in the south, providing our own transport to our two adoption centers in New Hampshire and by partnering with other animal welfare organizations in the Northeast that will accept animals. Since 2015, the Darbster Foundation has partnered with local animal rescue groups and shelters in South Florida to find homes for nearly 7,000 cats, kittens and d

ogs in South Florida. Transporting Kitties to New England – Over the past 5 years, Darbster Kitty has transported over 6,000 homeless kittens and cats to great, forever homes in New England where the pet population is managed effectively and demand is strong. The kittens and cats are rescued, fostered and then transported from South Florida where homelessness and euthanasia rates are very high. We are currently transporting between 35-40 cats and kittens weekly to Darbster Kitty in Manchester, NH and our no-kill partner shelters in New England. All Darbster Kitties are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and socialized for adoption. In 2020 we additionally began a Barn Cat Program to transport and adopt out select cats who, while not suitable as pets, can be rescued from a harsh life on the streets to thrive on a farm, in a horse stable or other protected indoor structures. Transporting Doggies to New England – Since 2017, Darbster Foundation has partnered with local South Florida shelters and our valued rescue partners up north to save and transport 285 dogs. “Square Heads” (Bully Breeds) make up more than half of the dogs that are transported. Since the opening of our own adoption facility in Chichester, NH, Darbster Doggy in 2018 and the purchase of a 30-dog capacity trailer in 2019, we have pulled out of shelters and transported 455 dogs. Cats-Kittens Spays and Neuters – Did you know that a single pair of cats and their kittens can produce thousands and thousands of offspring in just seven years? It is estimated that there are more than 200,000 free roaming cats in Palm Beach County alone. To help control the cat and kitten population in our Florida location, Darbster Foundation has funded more than 3,000 spay and neuter surgeries since 2009.

We are in urgent need of dog beds for travel & peanut butter for dog kongs!
In the past 3 months we have transported 200+ dogs from overcrowded shelters, rescued from the streets, partner shelters/rescues, etc. to be able to help give them a second chance at a loving life. 🐶❤️

With so many transports and puppies, etc we go through a good amount of dog bed replacements and of course yummy peanut butter kongs they enjoy during their ride 🚙

FeLV/FIV Tests for cats are offered for additional $15.
(No charge if bring your own test)

This little man is still in need of a foster - he cannot head to NH until June. But even a two week foster would be tremendously helpful. He is low low maintenance. Gets along with other dogs. He is small and study. He has heartworm and a leg issue. He happily takes two pills in the AM and otherwise a normal lovable pup and prefers being mellow. Loves his crate. Gunner is still in need of a new foster starting 03/23! 🐾🐾
His current foster is headed up north for a while and Gunner still needs to go through his Heartworm Treatment and an unexpected surgery procedure for his back leg!
He is a petite lowrider (Not too much bigger than your average frenchie!) and the laid back boy but he does love some toys and is the perfect garden helper 🪴🪴
He loves to nap upside down in his crate and is a professional snorer 🤣
Gunner is in need of a foster from 03/23 for a few weeks while going through his medical needs prior to going on transport.

🐾Driving Help Needed Thursday 03/20!🐾

We are in need of driving help Thursday to get 5-10 dogs to and from their spay/neuter appointments.

We have a transport van in West Palm Beach where the Spay/Neuter is done but the dogs need a ride from Okeechobee (About 60-80 minutes away) Thursday AM and then need to be returned in the afternoon.

It can be 1 person for both trips
or 1 person picking up and bring the dogs TO spay/neuter (About 8:00am arrival needed)
and 1 person bringing the dogs back FROM spay/neuter (About 3:00-3:30pm they should be ready to go) depending on availability.

🐾 Must be comfortable around dogs
🐾 Must have clean driving record

Each month, we transport 120+ cats from overcrowded shelters, rescued from the streets, etc. to be able to help give them a second chance at a loving life. 🐱❤️
