Darbster Foundation

The mission of the Darbster Foundation is to reduce the number of adoptable cats and dogs being euthanized in the Southern United States.

We do through partnering with animals shelters in the south, providing our own transport to our two adoption centers in New Hampshire and by partnering with other animal welfare organizations in the Northeast that will accept animals. Since 2015, the Darbster Foundation has partnered with local animal rescue groups and shelters in South Florida to find homes for nearly 7,000 cats, kittens and d

ogs in South Florida. Transporting Kitties to New England – Over the past 5 years, Darbster Kitty has transported over 6,000 homeless kittens and cats to great, forever homes in New England where the pet population is managed effectively and demand is strong. The kittens and cats are rescued, fostered and then transported from South Florida where homelessness and euthanasia rates are very high. We are currently transporting between 35-40 cats and kittens weekly to Darbster Kitty in Manchester, NH and our no-kill partner shelters in New England. All Darbster Kitties are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and socialized for adoption. In 2020 we additionally began a Barn Cat Program to transport and adopt out select cats who, while not suitable as pets, can be rescued from a harsh life on the streets to thrive on a farm, in a horse stable or other protected indoor structures. Transporting Doggies to New England – Since 2017, Darbster Foundation has partnered with local South Florida shelters and our valued rescue partners up north to save and transport 285 dogs. “Square Heads” (Bully Breeds) make up more than half of the dogs that are transported. Since the opening of our own adoption facility in Chichester, NH, Darbster Doggy in 2018 and the purchase of a 30-dog capacity trailer in 2019, we have pulled out of shelters and transported 455 dogs. Cats-Kittens Spays and Neuters – Did you know that a single pair of cats and their kittens can produce thousands and thousands of offspring in just seven years? It is estimated that there are more than 200,000 free roaming cats in Palm Beach County alone. To help control the cat and kitten population in our Florida location, Darbster Foundation has funded more than 3,000 spay and neuter surgeries since 2009.

We are in urgent need of cat travel carriers!
Each month, we transport 120+ cats from overcrowded shelters, rescued from the streets, etc. to be able to help give them a second chance at a loving life. 🐱❤️

✨🐾 2 Week Foster Needed 🐾✨

Looking for foster home for beautiful lowrider, Sloane, until Saturday 02/15 AM.

6 year old female, lowrider mix, 35LB.

She was supposed to go on transport this weekend but now has been showing signs of a cold (Runny Nose, Coughing, Sneezing) and can't be approved to go.

She will need to finish her 2 weeks of meds and be in a home with no other dogs or a space in a home where she is able to be completely separated from other dogs.

🐾FL Foster Or Adopter Needed!🐾

UPDATE: We have someone able to help out fostering here and there but travels so we are looking for a Co-Foster to help fostering or even better, an adopter for this sweet girl 💖💖

Beautiful girl, Nala, has been in board&training and has been doing great! Nala will need a foster starting ASAP for a little bit she can have time to decompress so she does not go straight back to a kennel environment.
Or even better, a FL adopter! Nala would be the perfect sidekick/companion for someone- she loves the outdoors, water, toys, and of course pup cup trips!🍦She just needs someone who is understanding that she needs to continue with structure/routine, and has a little bit of a lower traffic home. She is an amazing girl 🩷
