Meet Daphne! Daphne is an approximate 2 year old Shepherd mix. She is house trained, up to date on all vaccinations, and spayed. We have been told she is good with children of all ages and with other dogs and cats. If you would be interested in adopting Daphne, you can come by the office during business hours, call the office at 417-255-1860 or send a message to the page. This year's dog registration tags are now available at the police department, city hall, and the animal control facility. All residents inside the city limits must register their dogs. The registrations are free and current rabies vaccine information must be put on the form.

Update: Thank you to everyone that shared the posts and help spread the word about this guy. After 14 months in the facility, he was adopted by his forever family today! We are running out of options for this guy! We have even reached out to several rescues. He is such a sweetheart! Does not seem to be dominant. He has been at the facility since 4/13/2022. He does well on a leash and really enjoys his time outside the kennels. He is approximately 65 to 70 lbs, up to date on his rabies vaccine and has been heartworm tested. Call 255-1860 or come by the office if you would like to meet this guy!

Update: Dog has been adopted! This guy is ready for someone to take a chance on him! He is a little over a year old and has been at the facility pretty much his whole life. He shows so much joy and happiness when he sees humans and especially enjoys his time outside the kennels. At the end of January he was 66 lbs. He is up to date on his rabies vaccine and has been heartworm tested. This guy would make a great companion. Call 255-1860 or come by the office if you would like to meet this boy!

Update: Dog has been adopted! This is Sarge! He is still available for adoption. He came to the facility on 10/27/2022. He is a neutered 8 1/2 year old Heeler/German Shepherd mix. He has only lived indoors and had one owner in his lifetime. He is still a little timid, but outside the kennel he comes out of his shell and starts to shine! This video is showing one of our volunteers working with him and giving commands. He did very well today. Call 255-1860 or come by if you are interested in meeting him!
