The wind was CRAZY yesterday! The shed fell down again and half of my tarps totally blew off the field and againt the fence, but everything else was standing this morning!!

Farm all fixed up! Some things are a little worse for wear, but nothing a bunch of greenhouse tape, my parents and some jerryrigging couldn't fix. After this storm tomorrow, we are building shade structure 2.0 and reinforcing the shed into the 3 little piggies' shed of bricks. No more straw houses in these parts!

So, Wednesday night, a big storm blew through the area, lots of wind and rain. I had tied a pallet as weight to my shade structure at the end of my greenhouse in preparation, to keep it from blowing around. I haven't been to the farm since Wednesday afternoon... well, said storm blew my shade structure (and pallet) across the top of my greenhouse and into my neighbors yard (red arrow in picture), ripping holes in the greenhouse as it went. Shade structure looks like a crushed spider and is broken. Plus, it looks like my shed imploded. So, right now, it's starting to rain again. Heavy sigh.

HOLIDAY WREATH MAKING!!

Hey friends!! Looking for a last-minute holiday event? This Saturday, Dec 16th, I'm holding a super low-key, family-friendly holiday wreath making event in the front yard of my house. The cost is $25 and that will get you a wire wreath blank, wire, ribbon, dried flowers, and loads of greenery to choose from (fir, magnolia, Juniper, bay, olive, acacia and privet berries) as well as some wreath making guidance. Please come and hang out!! It'll be BYOB for any adult beverages you want to enjoy while making a wreath, and my son Callum will be selling hot chocolate!

The frost has hit and the field is officially closed for the season...though I did manage to harvest my amaranth before they were frosted! If you need Hot Biscuits Amaranth this week, let me know!!

Ranuncs and anemones are in the ground as well as other sprung goodies! Tulip bulbs come Dec 11, so the work is never done! Spring is right around the corner!! Stay tuned for what's available this spring!!
