Great turn out for play day! 13 horses. Circles was the focus. Everyone did a great job!! Sometimes just getting the horse to focus is the challenge at hand. I think this play day will continue to grow, so I have decided to split the sessions. More information to come.

So....if any of you have experienced a eye injury in a horse, you can feel my pain. This is Destiny
Second eye injury, and we are on day 18 of treatment, and my 288th treatment. Dr. SAUSVILLE has been amazing thru all this, even thru the whole holiday season. I welcome any prayers are healing thoughts you can send!

Absolutely

I'll be in the barn.
When people have come to visit over the years
they commonly hear from me "I'll be in the barn."
When life gets hard I'll be in the barn.
When things are just right I'll be in the barn.
When the sun shines
The rain falls
Or snow covers the ground
I'll be in the barn.
If things seem to be falling apart or if I'm
celebrating the simple things, I'll be in the barn.
When I'm looking for answers or trying to clear my mind, I'll be in the barn.
When I'm looking for myself, I'll be in the barn.
If I'm working or trying to relax, I'll be in the barn.
Even when I'm not in the barn my mind drifts there, I find myself thinking about being in the barn...
It's where I keep my riches
All my wins and my failures
Every one of my hopes, dreams, hardships and
memories.
You can find them all in the barn, buried in the hay, hiding under a halter, spilling out of the feed bins,or glimmering with dust in the evening light.
I may be covered in dust, dirt, feed, hair, and hay, smell of sweat and manure, and sometimes there may be blood or tears but I'll be there. I'll be in the barn.
So if your wondering where to find me, I'll be in the barn. If I'm not there I promise I'm on my way.

What a great turn out for Liberty Pines first play day!! 14, including Trooper and myself. We had 13 tasks to try to perform, horse and humans did very good. Great group of horse lovers!!!

I was told the filly I'm working with hates stepping in water. Natural Horsemanship is about making our ideas, the horses idea. In the wild a horse would step into the pond to get a drink, so let's see if she makes it her idea 😀

Liberty Pines just finished our very first clinic. It was amazing. CARL BLEDSOE and his beautiful wife TAMMY did an amazing job with our Gaited horses. We were taught how to help our horses use their bodies, along with us staying out of their way to find balance. CARL is a natural gaited trainer that will not use big bits or big shoes or spurrs to get gait. I could go on and on, but to watch the change in these horses by letting go and letting the horse find their balance. It was a beautiful thing. Pictures to show some of the fun. Big shout out to Judi, Bill Burke, and Cliff that helped pull it together for a big success. First of many!!

Second day with Tango. He is leading with the side by side confidently, going thru the car wash slow and easy, not rushing, and standing half way thru. Lead part way up the bridge and backing off. Tango would be described as a Right Brained introvert. Working VERY slow with him builds his confidence.

Liberty Pines Natural Horsemanship had a wonderful demo of the Bemer Blanket today. Three horses got to experience the blanket, all with different issues. Trooper, I just wanted him to feel more energetic. CONQUEST, had some soreness, and Desi, has hock soreness. All horses had different responses. Trooper started blowing his nose everywhere and got a little sleepy eyed. CONQUEST had a very funny response as you can see in the video. Lol.
DESPERADO, had his hocks done and was a little animated in his hind legs, he kept me busy, so was unable to video. After the horses, I was treated to the human Bemer blanket, and separated pads on my butt check for sciatic, then one on my elbow for tennis elbow, and my shoulder for my torn rotator cuff. After a 10 minute session I have to say my sciatic did feel better.
After talking for some time David asked who is running out there. We went out to discover Trooper, racing around, bucking, and chasing Sammy!!! This is NOT the norm. He was feeling Good !!!! Anyone interested in knowing more, let me know.
