Peter and Cheryl Fake bought the farm in 1981. they were conventional farmers then. The farm grows certified organic spelts, oats, soybeans, corn and hay..

One day Pete was spray the fields and got sick and decided from then on that he was farming organic, that was 1991. In 2011 Pete decided to retire and his second to oldest son Ted took over the family farm. It also raises about 15 head of cattle. They do sell the cattle privately for butchering.
