Kofu 💛
Kofu is screaming in attempt to find his way into your heart! Kofu is at the vet for an exam but he he is Neutered, UTD on rabies and distemper, combo tested negative for FIV & FeLV, and will be microchipped prior to adoption! 😻
Kofu came from the streets of Philadelphia and was too friendly to be released. When no other rescues stepped up for him, we scooped him up! 😻

Declana helping us foster neonates
Declana is a 2 year old retired mom who still insist on befriending and mothering (licking/cleaning them, she doesn’t supply milk anymore so she cannot nurse them) our neonates whom lost their mom due to unforeseen circumstances! Can you believe that this amazing cat is STILL looking for her furrever home! 😮
Meet Declana! A real dapper woman, a retired mother of 2 different litters of kittens. She is momma ready to blossom into a new horizon and experience the life of being a kitten herself! At a young age of 2, Declana came from the city called Paterson, NJ. She raised her 7 babies, and ready to retire! Declana is a what I like to describe as a “perfect cat,” she is quick to play with toys, always eager for attention, prances for love, and snuggles beside you at every open opportunity. For those Grey’s Anatomy fans, Declana is already ready to perch on your chest or right beside you to tune in for an episode. When she isn’t spending her days lazing around; she is off doing Declana things like batting around a mouse or ball, humming at the birds outside, flipping over for belly rubs, or looking at you goofily with her snaggle teeth. Honestly, she is a perfect companion for anyone. Declana is cat friendly. She has never been exposed to dogs or kids, but we for-see her being okay with kids who respect animals and don’t for-see her taking to life with a canine friend.

Ventress, a kitten we pulled from Second Chances - South Jersey Animals in Need is currently being rushed to Redbank Emergency Animal Hospital. She has been fine since we pulled her from the shelter, aced her quarintine and got added with Rini. Tonight, Ventress’s health declined. I got a call from her foster expressing she had labored/hard breaths paired with mobility loss in her back legs. She had no response to her toes being squeezed/touched. After discussing her symptoms, we feel she may have a slipped disc or a clot passed in her spine.
We do NOT know how much this is going to cost. We DO know we need emergency funds! 😅

Puddles has Cerebellar hypoplasia which is a neurological condition in cats that affects their mobility and coordination. There isn’t too much information on why cats and kittens are born with this, other than the mom cat having a high fever (likely with panleukopenia) while pregnant. 🙃
We pulled him from the shelter at only a couple days old with his siblings who passed away before 2 weeks old due to not having enough strength. Puddles is pending adoption by his wonderful foster!

Yesterday, without hesitation, we welcomed these 3 newborns into my care after Voorhees Animal Orphanage sent me their story! Their mom, a first-timer and very young cat herself, gave birth to 4 kittens in the shelter. Frantic and nervous, she immediately suffocated her first-born kitten. Then, tried to do the same with her second, third, and fourth. The shelter intervened and separated the remaining kittens from mom. They tried to resuscitate but he/she was in too much respitory distress causing the shelter to make the hard decision to euthanize the first born. 😣💓
Sad, Right? Very 😣
You know what would’ve saved the first kitten? Spaying and neutering your pets or assisting in TNR efforts.
We adore our orphaned kittens. Our fosters love doing this because they’re quiet literally saving their lives when their mothers neglect them, leave them, pass, etc. However, these kittens should’ve never lost their mother. This mother should have never been a mother. 😔❤️🩹

Peake, who just received an amputation procedure on Monday due to an infected and non-salvageable wound, doesn’t even know he is missing a WHOLE leg!

On December 4th, Rosalie (Mama) gave birth to three babies at Voorhees Animal Orphanage! A shelter is no place to raise babies, so when we recieved the text from our favorite shelter coordinator, we were there to pick them up! 💕
She gave birth to 3 beautiful and healthy babies!
2 male, 1 female. Ezra, Ashby, and Aria!
Now we get to watch them flourish and grow, in the comfort of foster care!

This girl is a full package! So long as you let her fully adjust to you by letting her sniff your hand and sitting with her until she gets to know you. Once she is past that stage, she is full cuddles and purr. I’ve never met a cat that wanted pets so badly that she’ll push her head really hard into your side or hand to earn that pet. Buttercup is a joy to be around, and is 7 months young! She truly deserves a chance, and we’re hoping that she not only can be adopted out of foster but that this is her Furrever home (for real this time). 🩵🥰

Today, we welcomed Meowster into our clan! 💓
Meowster was found underneath a car meowing (That’s how he got his name) by one of the wonderful independent rescuers we work with, Alexis. She asked around to see how he landed himself on the streets of Philadelphia to find out his home burned down and he was left stranded as well as his humans. He is grateful to be inside; being pet, receiving endless food, and feeling loved again!

Today I’m sharing a video of Momma Croissant, who was returned earlier this month because she quote on quote “Never warmed up after 9 months of being there, unfriendly, loner, standoffish, and not family-friendly.” 😣
After spending the last couple weeks with us, Momma expressed none of those behaviors. She’s vocal, loves affection and attention, craves pets, nibbles your fingers if you don’t pet her enough, and wants to be by her people’s side. 😻
Momma Croissant is officially back on the market. She has been through a lot in her 3 years of life. From being a mother to 4 of her own children, and being a surrogate for an abandoned orphan at the same time. Being adopted, and never truly understood then to be brought into a new home to learn the ropes again. She is looking for someone who will understand she’ll be a little nervous until she gets to know you better.
