It is baby bird season all around us. If you find a baby bird outside, please DO NOT bring it to us. We cannot have wild birds in our store due to the possibility of disease. If it is a fledgling, leave it alone. It is a natural stage of development. If you find an unfeathered baby, you can call Wildlife Rehab Center at (616) 361-6109.

Emrie Swan flew into the world Saturday, May 4th, 2024 at 6:52 AM weighing 7 lbs 1 oz and measuring 19 1/4 in long. We are all happy and healthy at home.

Attention CLP Family!

Today was my last scheduled day until mid to late June. I’m OFFICIALLY on Maternity Leave! I’ll be sure to update everyone once Baby Girl has arrived.

I’ll be available for house calls at my personal discretion in a few weeks. I will also consider a scheduled by appointment in store trim day if there is enough interest. However, a minimum of 15% gratuity will be required.

Finally, please be extra respectful of Jess, Maddi, Vee, and other Staff/Volunteers while I’m gone. They will be sharing my responsibilities on top of their own at no personal gain. I am beyond grateful for the sacrifices they are willingly making for me and my family, and hope that the CLP Family will give them the extra patience and understanding that they deserve.

Casa La Parrot began in 1978 as West Michigan's only exclusive companion parrot store, and still is today! We specialize in hand fed baby birds and providing specialized bird services and products. Doreen Plotkowski has owned Casa La Parrot since May 2012 and has given her heart and soul into creating a loving, warm environment where the birds always comes first.
