Deardorff Highland Cattle is a family owned and operated business that produces naturally raised purebred Scottish Highland Cattle. Our Scottish Highland Cattle are Grass Fed and Finished as well as being Hormone, Anti biotic, and GMO free from birth. We take great pride in providing a delicious and clean product to our customers. We sell meat by the individual cut and also in bulk by 1/4, 1/2, or

whole beef. Buying in bulk is the most economical by far, you will never beat the price going to the meat counter at your local store. We also cater to the extreme fitness demographic. Highland beef fits into the paleo diet perfectly and is much higher in protein and lower in fat and cholesterol than other types of beef. We are available for catering and specialize in fitness competitions such as The Granite Games, Heart of America and the Crossfit 80/35 Circus just to name a few. We are also currently seeking a restaurant or grocery outlet for our ground beef.

Ready to head to the Iowa State Fair tomorrow. For our 10th year on the Avenue of Breeds we will be exhibiting this lead steer, Bear. He was purchased as a calf from us almost two years ago and has been very well cared for by Gina and Jovie as well as being shown at county fairs. We are happy to be adding him back to our fold at Deardorff Highlands!

We will be cooking on RAGBRAI once again! Sunday we will be at the Party before the Pumpkin! Just before the overnight in Red Oak. There will be tons of signs on the roadside. In addition to our food truck there will be an ice cream truck, a bar, plenty of shade and places to hang out, plus live Highland cattle! It’s a launch party for our company Heritage Highland Farms. Tuesday we will be in Greenfield on the east side of the square for lunch.
