Hello EVERYONE! First I’d like to start off by saying we have some really sweet dogs right now looking for homes and we are receiving ALOT of calls! We all have full time jobs and responsibilities so I thought I’d post to streamline our process.
If you are TRULY interested in adoption please realize the following:
There is an adoption application that needs to be completed FIRST. Once preapproved for the dog you are interested in we will give you a phone call to setup a meet and greet.
At the meet and greet with you, family, resident pet if applicable and there is a love connection we can do the adoption and you can take you adopted dog home.
Adoption fee:
Until we hit the lottery or our vet work is free, there is an adoption fee. Reminder we do also support a sanctuary program for unadoptable dogs that eat and are on our medical expense report. At the time of preapproval we will discuss this. Your adoption fee covers spay/neuter, vaccines including rabies, a 4dx if over 6 months of age at intake, flea and tick prevention, worming, and microchipping. In top of all of this we incur MAJOR transportation costs.
Children under 5:
Because of the unpredictability of small kiddos we do not adopt to homes with children under 5. Kids are supposed to be kids. They trip and step on pets unintentionally and there are different reactions by animals in pain. With all of this said, we also do not release dogs that are not behaviorally stable. We taken all breeds, some with issues, some without. Some of our dogs require a fence, some of them do not.

With all of this said, please we invite you to complete an adoption application if you are ready to adopt your next furry friend. Please realize we are based out of the Zanesville Ohio area. If you are not prepared to travel to this area, then there is no way we can get our dogs to you as we do not ship our dogs. We require in person adoptions. We truly appreciate all of the support of our followers, Fosters, and adopters. We also appreciate your patience with us processing the mass of applications.

2 and a half years ago we pulled a female beagle that was so heavy with puppies she looked like a football! She was placed in the most wonderful loving home. It was discovered that Lucy had a mass on her spleen and passed away during emergency surgery. RIP to this lovely lady as we know she is now chasing her rabbits in heaven. ❤️

Spaying and neutering your pets not only helps control the pet population but also improves their overall health and behavior. It can prevent certain cancers and reduce the risk of roaming or aggression. Let's be responsible pet owners and make a positive impact!

The Sheriff’s office has received reports that Muskingum County residents are being called by a scammer claiming to be one of our deputies. The scammer will contact you over the phone and notify you that you have missed a court date, or violated the law in some manner, and there has been a warrant issued for your arrest. They then try to get you to make a payment for the bond that was issued in lieu of arrest. Sheriff Lutz wants to urge the public to know that our deputies, nor any law enforcement entity, will ever contact you in an attempt to collect money. The best practice is to not answer calls from numbers you do not know and if ever in doubt, hang up and call your local law enforcement. In addition to this, no banking institution will ever call asking for your personal information. Please never give or confirm personal information, banking information, credit card numbers ,etc, over the phone and never send any kind of funds as instructed by the scammers. We urge you to share this post to help get the word out to our community.

Foster needed to help Fred or Ted!

Meet Fred and Ted! These boys came to us after their owner passed away. They were extremely matted and loaded with fleas. Ted is 3 years old. He is most definitely a shih tzu. Fred is Ted’s love child. (Ted had an affair with a most dashing black pug female who is also in our custody). These boys need seperate foster homes. Shasta is a 4 yr old little yorkie. She was used for breeding in her life previously. Shes a VERY sweet little girl. PASTURE PET

Lil Chase is a 2008 Mini Pony who stands at 36" tall and weighs 266lbs.
Lil’ Chase is a cute guy who can be shy sometimes and he is difficult to catch. He can be bossy with the other horses and ponies hes turned out with, but he does enjoy socializing. In hand he leads nicely and stands tied to be groomed. Chase loves going on farm walks and he will follow you right up the stairs and into the house if you let him.
Chase has been saddled but not ridden. He would be a wonderful addition to any pasture but he will need continued work with being caught.
