HOW does Icicle still need a home?!?! đź’”

Icicle is a 6-8 month old Pitbull mix who loves everyone! She gets along with children of all ages and other dogs. She loves to play and has a lot of puppy energy. She also loves to relax with you and snuggle up. She snorts like a pig and always keeps people entertained! She is petite in size and loves to wiggle around. She is house and crate trained, needing some work on the leash. We do not know how she would be with cats. She is a complete love bug who is patiently waiting for the perfect family!!

Sarah & Max still need a home, together! ♥️

Sarah and Max have had a rough few weeks. One of their owners entered a nursing home and the other sadly passed away. They spent some time alone in their home, being visited to be fed, as the family members were unable to take them into their homes. While alone, they had some scary events unfold which have left them quite scared of life. They need a patient home who will show them how to enjoy life and not be so scared all of the time. With some treats (preferably hot dogs), patience, and love we know these two will become the best dogs!

Sarah is a 7/8 year old short haired Border Collie and Max is a 10/11 year old long haired Border Collie. They are extremely bonded. They need a home with no young children. They seem to do well with other dogs, meet and greet required. We do not know how they would do with cats and at this time they are too scared to test. Both do well in their crates and enjoy walks (once they warm up to you), they also may need a refresher on house training as they have not been let outside often these past few weeks. Both are very gentle and sweet, all they need is a very committed family that will show them nothing but kindness.

Mama needs a home!!!!

Mama is a 7-8 year old Pitbull mix who has had a very tough life. She is looking for a home that will love her forever and treat her like the queen she is! She has previously lived with other dogs, cats, and kids of all ages. She is full of life and personality. She LOVES sitting on chairs, it does not matter if it’s a fluffy recliner or a wooden dinner chair - she WILL claim it as her own. She loves attention and will let you know if she thinks she is not getting enough. She is extremely loving and is always happy. She is currently on medication due to being anemic from fleas & has her ears packed with medication. She is also on medication to help clear her skin up, but is in overall decent shape.

We are open to a foster to adopt home until she is medically cleared if adopter is interested in that! She needs a check up in 2 weeks.

Pennsylvania people! Help get these 2 a home for Christmas

Meet Luger and Vivor! This perfect duo was surrendered to the shelter today due to no fault of their own. They are petrified at the shelter and we would love to see them get back into a home as soon as possible. They are extremely sweet, have lived with cats and are said to be dog friendly, though a meet and greet is always required. They are extremely bonded and need to stay together. If you are interested in giving these sweet boys a home together, please fill out an application at our website. Remember, all animals in the home must be fixed and up to date on shots to apply.

What Led Us To Our Mission

Every day I found myself reading story after story about animals being abused, discarded and forgotten. And at the end of every story I read or video I watched I found myself angry and upset, as we all SHOULD be. But what does that do, how does that help? An the answer was it didn’t. Being an avid dog lover and having 4 rescues of my own, I realized I needed to do more, and so Best Friend Rescue was born.

Our mission is to find the abused, discarded, and forgotten the forever home they most certainly deserve. Animals are pure love, they are all born with hearts of gold and that is the only thing they deserve in return. We want to help people find their Best Friend!

We will be working with “Kill Shelters” to find homes for dogs that are to be put down. No dog should have to pay with their life because of an irresponsible human.

We will teach people the truth about the so called “Bully Breeds”. There is NO such thing as a bad breed, there are just bad OWNERS!
