They are 7 weeks old. Mom is a JR and dad is a Yorkie, Maltese X. They will be a small breed.

Peaceland to the rescue again!
This Cutie Patootie was rescued running on the N7 yesterday, picked up by Chris, one of Peaceland's Directors.

He was picked up between Malmesbury and Wellington, on the road where Bakkenkloof Wine Estate is.

It is a boy, his name is Attie, and according to the chip he belongs to a C Lues.

We cannot get hold of the owner on the number on the chip. It seems that they are on holiday in CT, and that he is from Pretoria.

* URGENT NOTICE *

City cautions public to stay away from seals due to a confirmed rabies case

The City of Cape Town is advising the public to stay away from seals as far as possible, and with immediate effect. The Western Cape Provincial Veterinary Services has confirmed that a Cape Fur Seal off the coast at Big Bay has tested positive for rabies. This seal died on 22 May 2024 and the laboratory results came in earlier today.

As such, the public must take extra precaution to stay away from Cape Fur Seals as far as possible, and to not, under any circumstances, allow their dogs close to these animals. This precaution applies to the entire Cape Peninsula coastline.

The monies from everything that we sell goes towards looking after the animals in our care, and also towards the building of camps for our shelter.

After an AMAZINGLY SUCCESFUL Fundraising Day on the 1st of May, we have managed to raise enough money to buy a container which will eventually be converted into a clinic for our animals. How amazing is that!!!

We need an extra R5000.00 as soon as possible, to help pay for the container. We have limited time otherwise the container is going to someone else...😥
