We've had a very successful Horse of the year show over the past few days!

Dolarch Pizazz won General breed Champion mare and went on the win General breed Champion breed horse. She then went on to win the lead rein purebred welsh pony, came 2nd in the lead rein purebred welsh working pony and was Reserve Champion in the young children's purebred welsh working pony class.

Llandilo Valentino came 2nd in the General breed stallion under 1.37m, was Reserve Champion Section A welsh Stallion and Reserve Champion overall Section A.

Dolarch Hipster won Senior Champion Section A mare and came 3rd in the purebred first working pony class.

Thank you to everyone who made this show possible - it was a phenomenal one!

The 2022 Bongela Mining SA Adult Showing Championships

A very successful day was had at the 2022 Bongela Mining SA Adult showing championships

Four ponies and their handlers represented the stud in the general breed in hand - coming home with a reserve champion to the exceptional evergreen Llandilo Valentino and a 3rd place for Pizazz.

Introducing Dolarch Pizazz - available for lease

Pizazz is a Welsh section A pony with an extraordinary affinity for teaching little ones - and she's available for lease! She is to stay at her current home in Irene, Pretoria.

Pizazz excels on the lead - not only in the show ring, but in every day interaction with little people. She has also gone off lead. She excels in all aspects of showing - including show riding classes and working riding.

Pizazz will be competing at the Easter show this coming weekend on lead.

Introducing Dolarch Limelight

Limelight is our 3 year old up and coming herd stallion. He is spectacular in absolutely every way - his temperament is extraordinary, his looks are flawless and he promises to be an invaluable part of our program. He has produced two spectacular foals which we will introduce soon.

Our "little boy" has suddenly grown up, and we get more and more excited about him as time goes on.

Just 8 months ago he was a fluffy pony - and just last week at The EquesPro Horse of the year show he was the reserve champion in the Welsh Section A stallions between 1 and 4 years old.

At the end of an enormous week - a massive shout out goes to all those people behind the scenes who made it all possible. While our ponies are gorgeous - they don't turn themselves out like this without some much needed elbow grease over many long hours from some rather spectacular people.

As The EquesPro Horse of the Year 2022 show draws to a close - it seems fitting to introduce you to our special purebred Section B welsh mare who qualified for Breed Supremes today. While we did not make it through pre-judging - we stood in a formidable line up of 20 or so of the top mares in the country. Our up and coming princess really made us very proud!

Tip Top is by Dolarch's Heniarth Top of the Morning, out of Caegwyn Millenium - and is just 5 years old. She's an incredibley gentle soul - who is always willing to please and loves doing just about anything except staying clean!

We are an up and coming Welsh pony stud based in Irene, Pretoria. Established in May 2021 - we've now officially made our debut into the showing world at the Equespro Horse of the Year show 2022.
