Also, the flat on the farm is back in the market (very low rental in very pleasant surroundings) as the other tenant unexpectedly received a budiness offer in Pietersburg.

Watch out for the opening of the restaurant for sit-down snacks this week! At the little tuck-shop you can buy airtime and essentials as you go past. This will soon grow into a fully-fledged farm stall, for which the space has been reserved!

And we're through! Passed the health inspector's test for our cheese facility...so now we're waiting for the ladies to go into production again and we'll be churning it out! Watch out for our labneh balls, white mould cheeses (read Camembert a la Farside) and feta, especially.

Watched over by Nomkhubulwane, Kali Ma and the ever-present owl guardians, the "village" is taking another leap forward today when the previous owners remove the last of their belongings and we can start concentrating on allocating space for the farm stall, accommodation, eatery. The cheesery will have its final inspection on Wednesday, and should be fully functional after that!

Our first show to take place 7-9 August. Although this is a fun show, it is also a practice show and we will endeavour to stay as close as possible to official show dress codes. No one will be penalised for NOT being able to do so, however. DM us for entry forms (posted on the event later).

We're almost open for business! This weekend we'll be selling braai wood, compost, some plants, and railway coffee (Ricoffy with condensed milk!), and we'll be taking orders for burgers and Sunday lunch. We'll kick off with a traditional shisanyama on Friday afternoon from 5-6.30 pm.
