The Rowland Ward Foundation has unveiled an exciting new feature on its website: the Interactive Map of Fair Chase Measurers. This feature allows users to easily locate any of the 539 Rowland Ward Measurers in various regions of the world.

Rowland Ward Official Measurers are an indispensable part of Rowland Ward Foundation's Records of Big Game, tirelessly contributing to the collection of accurate trophy data. These individuals are the backbone of the record book, as they gather the necessary information that is published every four years in the oldest and most comprehensive database of game measurements available.

𝐀 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐑𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐝:
James Rowland Ward was a prominent figure in the world of taxidermy and natural history. Born in 1848 to a family of taxidermists and naturalists, he followed in his father's footsteps and began working in the field. In 1870, he established his own taxidermy shop in London, which became a popular destination for hunters and collectors from around the world. Over time, his shop evolved to become a publisher of record books, focusing on measurements and weights of big game.

In 1891, Rowland Ward's business was incorporated and the name was changed to Rowland Ward Ltd. The company's first record book, Horn Measurements and Weights of the Great Game of the World, was published in 1892 and was an immediate success. The book was updated and expanded over the years, eventually becoming known as Rowland Ward's Records of Big Game. The company's reputation grew as it established a network of measurers to measure trophies from all over the world, making it a leading authority in the field of big game hunting and taxidermy.

After James Rowland Ward's death in 1912, the company changed hands several times, but its focus on taxidermy and record-keeping remained constant. Today, Rowland Ward Ltd. is a non-profit organization based in California, dedicated to preserving the tradition of big game hunting and promoting conservation efforts. Its legacy as a leader in the world of taxidermy and big game record-keeping continues to inspire and inform hunters and naturalists around the globe.
