Progress

Thor is doing much better and everyday he is getting stronger. The vets working his case “3” Dr Bull,Dr Ross and Dr Zoltan In Hong Kong” are absolutely astonished at his progress and are calling him a miracle case. No one thought he would make it. He will still be in hospital for a few more days but he is nibbling on hay, pooping and peeing and he will be slowly weaned off his drip as the days go on. Still on all his medications for the foreseeable future. He was super naughty last night and chewed through is drips cord 🤣 the nurses had to replace his drip this morning 🤣 glad he is fighting and we can’t wait to have him home again 💕

Thor showing some more improvement today ❤️ heart rate is normal at 200 and holding, temperature control better and he is lifting his head and even trying to groom himself xx he is still on all the same medications, drips and will remain in the oxygen and incubator for a few more days ♥️ we get to see him a bit earlier tomorrow as visiting hours start at 10 am instead of 4 or 5 pm

Thor

Thor has shown very slight improvement from yesterday. He is lifting his head a tiny amount and will kick his front legs every now and again. The blue thing on his ear is just the bandage for where the drip goes inside the vein on his ear xx He is not out of the wood and still in icu in critical condition, he will spend the next few days in hospital still. We get to visit him once a day in visiting hours. The vet has been very good at giving us updates at least 3 to 4 times a day. He is not out of the woods yet and there is still a possibility that he won’t pull through. He is on steroids twice a day, antibiotics, IV fluids, IV pain meds, pannacur, gut mobility medications “2 injections every 8 hours” and meds to get his heart pumping. So he will stay in the incubator for oxygen and temperature control and his heart rate is up from 115 yesterday to the 150s today. “Rabbits heart rate should be between 180 to 200” so baby steps… Ec is a horrible illness and sadly when it flares up it just gets progressively worse every time. This is Thors 3rd flare up in 2 and a half years, we are doing absolutely everything we can and not giving up! It’s devastating to see him like this. My mind is not in a good place and every night I dread that I get the call in the morning that he hasn’t made it. We are trying to stay positive but also understand that there is a real chance that he won’t recover. Sorry for delays in orders guys I am not exactly focused on work right now. Will make sure that a lot of the current orders go out tomorrow and respond to messages soon 💕

Midnight is home and safe from her long trip from Cape Town to me in Johannesburg 💗 will get more forage of her at a later stage xx

So in my spear time I enjoy playing pc games and used to work in the gaming industry full time 💗 last night over a team speak platform called discord I told my friend all I can hear is her bird in the background 🤣🤣 so she sent me video of her bird on WhatsApp joining in our game. We were playing Dota 2. Needles to say it was adorable and I like to think she was cheering us on 😂😂😂😂

Busy setting up our two fosters with their forever mom, dad and home 🥰 Completely free roamed rabbits such Lucky little fluff balls!! Lilly and Luna we will miss you terribly but at least you didn’t go far 🥹💔❤️ Thank you again Jessica Burbidge for taking these two special buns home 🏡

Foster buns from The Bunny Hop Haven having some fun tonight 💗🐇 going to miss them so much when they go to their forever home around month end/early August. “Lilly has been with me since Jan and Luna since Feb” Their new mom and dad, Jess and Andre are very lucky with these two. They are just the sweetest! Lilly will lick you to death and Luna has so much energy and just curious about everything, she is always the first one to run to you or want to explore something new 💕 My heart is breaking knowing we have such little time left with them but also happy that they will start their new lives together soon!! These two buns really are going to such a good home with people that care and are willing to accommodate them to fully free roam them too, just so happy 🤗 #adoptdontshop #supportrescue #fosterbabies
