WHY DOES DERMATOLOGY REMAIN SUCH A DIFFICULT AREA OF VETERINARY MEDICINE?

🧴The skin has a limited range of reaction patterns and so many different dermatoses have lesions which appear similar.

🧴Although the skin lends itself to biopsy sampling, the value of histopathology is quite variable amongst different skin diseases.

🧴Several dermatoses may occur simultaneously on the same animal, presenting a complex picture.
