With the severe lockdown measures initially imposed in March 2020, horse owners were not permitted to visit their horses unless they lived on the same property. I had discovered natural horsemanship a few years ago and have been actively practising this training method ever since. With the many hours of “free” time which suddenly materialised (previously spent at work, sitting in traffic, watching
kids’ sport or at the stables with my pony) I spent that time watching online videos, listening to podcasts, reading more and actively learning as much as I could from different natural horsemanship trainers. Before lockdown, I had had no idea how many resources there were at our disposal.

When the lockdown regulations were relaxed (after some 50-odd days of no pony cuddles), I wanted to put some of these new methods into practise. I very quickly discovered that the South African market is both expensive and quite limited for any non-conventional training tools. I sourced a collection of more affordable accessories for equestrians both internationally and locally to bring to the South African market. We will be stocking both local and imported equestrian goods and are in final negotiations with suppliers before going live with our complete product range, so watch this space!! We welcome customer input for any products you would like to see here. We will expand our product range as and when we encounter an interest in a particular item. Please chat to us if you are looking for something specific and we will assist. We strive to provide the best possible service while providing quality products at affordable prices. After all, as all equestrians know, the horse’s needs always come first.
