UPDATE ON LEVI

We have been to Vereeniging Animal Hospital he has abscesses in both his a**l sacs and the fungal skin infection is flaring up again (his hair has completely fallen out up to his elbows and the nail beds are oozing pus) possibly due to an over active immune system as he previously responded positively to the cortisone. He has been given medication and we are to return after 10 days so that Dr Engelbrecht can have a look and we can decide on the way forward. Thank you for all the love and well wishes. We really do appreciate it. We will keep you updated on developments.

We previously asked for assistance for this little man. He was diagnosed with a severe fungal skin infection and were advised to do a dental at a later stage when he is better. He received treatment of antibiotics, anti fungal medication and cortisone. The treatment started working but has finished the course of medication and is still battling. He is now urinating dark gold coloured urine which indicates something more serious and appears to have an internal infection in his re**um a**l area (possibly a**l sac disease) the Vereeniging Animal Hospital cannot provide a quotation before seeing him this afternoon to determine what needs to be done. It is a very painful condition.

Humans have failed this little guy and we would really like to give him a fighting change. It is most probably treatable but we just don't have the funds to cover surgery should the vet have to wash out the a**l sacs under anesthesia or remove the a**l sacs.

We will never prolong an animal's suffering and if recommended by the vet to send him to doggy heaven we will.

Please if you can contribute R10.00 towards his recovery it will most definitely help. Remember we can issue a Section 18 certificate to submit to SARS when doing you submit your annual return. Businesses can also benefit by making a donation and submitting the Section 18 to SARS.

If you do make a contribution please put us an email [email protected] with your contact details so we can thank you and provide the certificate for tax purposes.

Available for adoption.
Little Swenie is a 9 year old Chihuahua boy. It's very sad when a dog of his age gets dumped at the Spca. Can anyone give him a home where he can spend the rest of his life.

We need help we are drowning in accounting fees, food bills, vet bills and the likes. In an attempt to try and save money we would like to get our accounting software so that we can at least do the month to month bookkeeping duties and only pay for the audited financial statements one a year at the end of February. Lynda will familiarise herself with the package and try to attend to these duties.

Is there anyone on this page who is a qualified chartered accountant or bookkeeper that has knowledge of NPC's/NPO'S that can give us some advise and also whether there is anyone that might have an extra licence for SAGE Accounting Software for small businesses or someone who could sponsor the software for us.

CHIHUAHUAs

😊 Getting to know this breed

1) Jis they are cute. Like really cute
2) They are small. You have to bend down all the way to reach them. Actually sit down.
It might become easier if they become friendlier and jump up. Easier to reach.
3) They don't become friendlier.
4) They shake. In a 40 degrees heatwave. They shake.

Please contact me if you can offer a loving fosterhome (experienced in the breed)

Firstly we would like to thank each and every one who makes regular donations among others the Le Roux and Farrell families. Sadly we are facing closure and are currently unable to take in any new surrenders until further notice. We are facing a dire situation where we are unable to pay our bookkeepers/auditors this month and our bank account is depleted.

We currently have 5 permanent residents (of which some has to be on joint supplements due to joint problems, medicine and special diets) who we cannot rehome as they have chronic medical conditions, suffered severe emotional trauma or have behavioural problems and therefore would not be able to adapt in a new home. Then we have 7 fosters in the care of our founder, Lynda Kotzé and 2 fostered by a lovely lady in George who has been taking care of Maverick and Zuke for the last two years at her own costs. We furthermore have a lovely lady who adopted 2 doggies (1 of which was adopted through us and 1 adopted through Tiny Paws) and lost her job. A mutual decision was made by us and Tiny Paws that it would not be in the best interest of the doggies or their human mom to remove and rehome the doggies. So we are helping to take care of them too by providing food, medical care (if necessary) etc.

We also assist with outreach in the Meyerton area and are assisting people with sterilisations, medical care, food, tick & flea treatment etc. where we can.

We herewith plead that each and everyone please go and register for their My School card and select us as beneficiary. Each time you swipe we will receive some funds from them.

Please also remember if you make a bona fide donation directly to us we can provide you with a Section 18A receipt/certificate (if we have your full names, address and contact details) which you can submit to SARS at the end of the year with your tax return and you would be eligible for a refund.

URGENT!!!!!!
Bella needs an urgent home or foster family.
She is not currently safe as she keeps escaping and due to it being Agricultural Holdings we are concerned that if she gets into the adjacent farms she will get hurt and possibly never be found.

Age: 8 years old;
Miniature pinscher;
Currently in foster care in Meyerton Gauteng
Out of province adoptions will be considered but transport costs will be for adoptee's account.

She will require a home where she will not be able to climb over the walls or gates as she is an escape artist of note.
Adoption fee, strict homechecks and adoption terms and conditions apply.
Email [email protected] to request an adoption form.

If we receive more than one application for a specific Chihuahua that is approved and suitable, we will advise on a deadline and make a collective decision by the directors on the most suitable home for the specific applied for Chihuahua. Other suitable options will be suggested in the event of the applicant not being chosen. 9. In the case of CASA not having a suitable rescue for an approved home, they will be added to a waiting list and notified as we receive Chihuahuas into our care. 10. Once the adoption is approved, we will forward the applicant an Adoption Contract which must be signed and returned to us with proof of payment. 11. Rules: a) We do not generally adopt Chihuahuas into families with Power breeds, unless they are willing to have them evaluated by a registered Animal behaviourist and the report submitted with the application. b) We do not adopt our Chihuahuas into homes where the current dogs are not sterilized and vaccinations up to date. c) We do not adopt Chihuahuas into homes where they sleep outside, as all Chihuahuas are lap dogs and have to be part of the family at all times. d) Chihuahuas are predominantly small and delicate, which does not make them suitable for young children or toddlers. 📷
