Finally got Bundy bed made out of the bigger barrel. Looks small in there. burnt the wood around the rings to make it look better.

So I made a bunch of these maybe 2-3 years ago then stopped when I did a back injury. I had a barrel 50% done sitting in the shed. Probably about 6-9months ago I had a message request which most request I get are scams. Was a gentleman from Boyup Brook with a old screen shot if a ad, asking if I would make him a couple for his dogs. Since then I’ve been hunting for more barrels and making them as I get the time as I work away a fair bit. Since then I’ve had the pleasure of making great friendship with him,his family and fishing on his boat so big thanks to him. He even sent me photos of his young fella in one. I’ll continue to make them as I come by the barrels and get the spare time.

Been busy with work lately and orders banking up. Finally got around to making a pair over the weekend, now working away I’ll start the next pair next weekend. Got the extra large barrel the other day for Bundy himself who like to stretch out. More to come

Been on holiday for abit and started a new job. Finally got back into it. A mate of mine brought a barrel to me asking if I can make a kennel. Turned out well hopefully they like it and I can see pictures of their pooch in it when they collect tomorrow. Bundy wasn’t to sure as his never been in a kennel in his life, a couple dog biscuits and he was persuaded to poke his head in proving to be plenty of room inside.
Working on the next couple beds now one will be available and got 2 more to be made untill I’ll be on the hunt for more barrels.

Good to see young diesel grew up but over a year later he still loving his bed and lasting the test of time. There will be one hopefully available later this week after a couple late nights before my holidays

Got the bed done yesterday afternoon and dropped of this morning. Didn’t get home until had pictures come through. I think this could be my first bed I’ve done for a shepard.

Had a busy weekend last weekend fishing and doing other stuff I have been getting a touch behind with this week orders a couple late nights and should see there’s complete by Saturday. Both are sold. After these photos I spent some time sanding them down, take legs off, taping then painting and I’ve sealed the legs aswell ready to go back on. I have one more barrel left which I’ll hopefully get to ASAP then I’ll be getting ready to go one holiday soon. I’ve got another couple barrels lined up but won’t touch them untill after the holiday.

So the biggest mistake I made 2 years ago the original bed was get the smallest barrel I could find for my ridgeback x pup. Wasn’t long untill he grew out of it when I gave it to my cousin. For her kelpie. Which was to big for the bed aswell and didn’t use it. A month or so ago a friend asked if I could do one to suit her Maltese. I offered her this one which I cleaned up abit, swapped legs over to my new ones as it being my first bed and I had a dog without a bed I quickly whacked it together not thinking the design would take off as much as it did. Anyway I got an updated pictures from my friend today and SamSam looks right at home in its bed. Good to see the original Bundys bed had held up over time.
Since then I was able to learn and chase the larger barrel as its more suited to majority of the dog breeds and strayed away for using the smaller barrels only upon request
*note all beds made by us are not used. As this was for a friend this was an exception

Got these couple beds done within the last 24h around work. Bundy done himself a mischief when getting to close to inspecting the product ended up with a piece of tape on his big snoze (he was not harmed in anyway you can see his tail wagging)
One bed avail hopefully have more complete later next week.

Got the notification today 2 years ago I made his first bed. Which as of yesterday it was cleaned up and went to its new home. Bundy always loves being around people and often just comes for a lap around the shed get a pat or 2 then lay down and watches not bothered but anything going on in the shed

After working away last week trying to catch up on things I managed to get into the shed this arvo and got almost 2 more done. Ones sold atm second one will be available hopefully done in the next few days

Recently got back Bundys original bed. I made it quickly out of a smaller barrel which he out grew quickly and was pretty rough as I had a dog with no bed. Gave it to my cousin which had a kelpie who was a touch to large for it and didn’t use it. Recent a friend of mine enquired about a bed for her Maltese that’s when I thought about this one. Spent a few hours replacing the legs although it’s still solid had ugly legs made out off cuts. And I finished off sanding the name of each end and just a general tidy up. Ready for the new owners. Dropped off a bed to a local client. I didn’t have time to get home before the pictures started coming through. Fair to say they are happy about it. There daughter is also waiting for the next one to be made for their dog

Hey people hope yous had a great weekend I was busy doing other thing but manage to back to dog beds. I took the legs off to make better to paint the bans. I then oiled up the barrel and legs separately leaving a section unoiled so the glue would stick. This is normally the part I spend the most time on and people don’t see it by the time they have it upright, mattress and dog In it they don’t notice what underneath it but atleast I’ll know it’s done properly. Final stages now

Was messaged a couple weeks ago from a bloke in Boyup Brook Wa. After being out of it for over a year due to health etc. He couldn’t be happier said he’ll update me with more photos in the future. Since then I’ve set up this page and got a handful more barrels and about ready to make some more again into he coming weeks

“Diesel in the tank” one I did around a year ago, went to Perth Wa. When asked the owner he said the only fault is he doesn’t go in his kennel after buying this bed. Hopefully see more photos shortly

Another local client brought a bed a year or more ago. Still as good as new and Marleys owner has informed me that the cat likes it just as much.
