'Baby' names.
Haddie's precious little girl. We think Harriet is a good name for her (following in the 'H' tradition starting with grandmother Hope, Haddie's sister Hush and Haddie herself). Let us know what you think. This one has to start with 'H'.
Naming Haddie's baby girl.
We think Harriet is a good name for her. What do you suggest? Following in the 'H' tradition starting with grandmother Hope, (Haddie's sisters Hush and Harlee and Haddie herself). This one has to start with 'H'.
Just in case you thought he couldn't possibly be that cute.
Jaffa gave me the 'I am not to be messed with' look this afternoon. She is 283 days pregnant and in no mood for anyone or anything. I left her in peace.
Poor little Lucy is trying to find shelter from the wind between the big girls. This is after the wind dropped suffciently for me to go outside for a couple of minutes.
All is well.
Anthony and Saeran can relax. They know their new bull calf has been up and had a drink from his mum now.
It's a Hard Life. Twenty minutes of sunshine, a calf in my lap and views forever! Please enjoy (while I recover from the blisters from trekking to the top of our hill, in gumboots, and getting then absolutely drenched coming back down)
Woody - Living the Dream
Woody - he is just so kissable. He and his friend Harlee are heading to Melbourne on Sunday. It will be the start of a new life enjoying lots of interaction at Living Life Support Services (support for children and adults with disabilities.)
How do we decide where to send our sweet pet steers? We ask a lot of questions. A whole lot of questions. When we get updates like this, we know we are asking the right people the right questions. This is Rowdy living the dream with his best mate Reggie. (They are both at Adelle & Steve's place).
Tilly's awake and saying thank you to her little bodyguard. Tilly was so happy - she got a full 25 minute rest!
This melted my heart. Cuddilly Greanna is being a little bodyguard while Tilly has a well earned rest.
Blowin' in the Wind - Storm Girl. Can you believe her gorgeous long eyelashes? (Usually just the little bull calves get them).
Some days they just melt your heart.
It's Sunday and the dump trucks are still rolling in. At long last, our driveway is getting some serious maintenance work. Graders, rollers, lots of trucks, the whole kit and caboodle. Visitors to the paddocks won't need a 4WD to come up the driveway anymore.
Tilly and her baby bull. Even we can't believe how small he is and we have seen some small calves over the years. (Not registered purebred Galloway cattle.)
Tilly had a gorgeous tiny bull calf this morning. We think we'll call him Teddy. What do you think? (Not a purebred bull calf).
That innocent face. He knows he shouldn't be in the yards. Woody snuck in with the heifers and tucked into their rice pellets.
Snuggle is getting some love and attention.
It is hard to see White Galloways in the snow. The calves were not sure what to make of the cold white stuff yesterday. So very, very unexpected to see it snowing in Braidwood.
